How is this even a discussion ?!?!?

Big fan of both but Holy's resume destroys Usyk's.
I also feel Holy bashes Usyk.

I'm leaning towards usyk, but then remembering how much I liked holyfield back then I can't pick.
But then again everyone wants usyk to be no1 pfp?

Hell, the Lennox Lewis that Holyfield gave trouble with would definitely whoop the 35 year old Tyson Fury.

You gotta be one of AJ's English muffins.

Yeah, beating the guy who got rag dolled by Andy Ruiz made him better than the man who beat the prime Rid**** Bowe

Now, this I kinda agree with, though Usyk being a former Middleweight, who lost to Shawn Porter in the amateurs to being a 235lb HW who can hang with Tyson Fury is about as su****ious as it gets.

        Not a PROVEN drug cheat.

Like I said, the dude's ganed about 70lbs as an adult and isn't morbidly obese, that's sus as fxck.
        Fury >>>> Bowe

u would have to be a pole smoking smooth brain to think otherwise

I’d agree with this. Although if Usyk goes on to reign for the next few years that could change.

Prime Riddick Bowe was so scared of Lennox Lewis after getting KTFO by him as an amateur that he threw his WBC belt in the trash can to avoid having to fight Lennox again.

Prime Riddick Bowe was getting the crap beaten out of him in 2 fights against Andrew Golota and only won because Golata got disqualified for low blows in both fights.

Usyk would box the socks off Bowe if they were in the same era.

Usyk has had fewer fights than Holyfield so his resume is not as deep. But to me, the fact that Usyk has achieved so much in just 22 pro fights, with all his title fights happening away from home, makes his achievements even more remarkable than Holyfield's.

To rank fighters against each other, criteria for rank must be established first. Examples of things that warrant credit include impact on society, representing the sport positively, quality of opponents beaten, time at the top, innovations provided to the craft, public acclaim, spectacular moments, and of course; our best guess as to who wins a head to head match up.

In this case, the impact of one of these two being still in motion is significant because Usyk at the moment still retains an unblemished record; wheras Holyfield somewhat besmirched his legacy going 8-6-2 in the 21st century, with some damming losses late in his career.
Therefore, when Usyk is through, we can gain a better view.

Holyfield's special triumphs were against Qawi, Tillman, Parkey, Ocasio, DeLeon, Tillis, Thomas, Dokes, Robrigues, Stewart x2, McDonagh, Douglas, Foreman, Cooper, Bowe, Mercer, Tyson x2, Moorer, Ruiz, Rahman, Savarese, Nielsen and Botha.

Usyk's special triumphs were against Glowacki, Hunter, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev, Bellew, Witherspoon, Chisora, Joshua x2, Dubois and Fury.

My thinking is this. Holyfield leads in special wins which should surprise no one. But Usyk said recently that he's up for "3 more years" in the sport.

Should he manage to defeat Fury in the rematch, and notch victories against, say, Zhang, Parker, Anderson and Kabayel in that time, and get out undefeated; he would surely pull ahead of the "Real Deal" in my book.

Usyk didn't gain 70lbs as an adult.

MW limit in the amateurs is 164lbs and Usyk's highest recorded weight is 223lbs.

So he gained less than 60lbs over the course of about 20 years while maturing from a skinny teenager to a muscular 37 year old man. There is nothing at all suspicious about that. It's called "growing up"

I think Usyk is higher but people will pick Holyfield to be sentimental for the era. I think 10-20 years from now people will rank Usyk higher than Holyfield.

When guys career are still active they dont get full credit until after retirement. I remember how brutal the boards were for guys like Mayweather or Lennox when they were still fighting now everyone outside a few trolls will admit they are elite.

Everyone uses PEDs and idk why you so worried about Usyk using peds when Holyfield of all people has more proof of using PEDs.
