It was a good fight, a close fight and an even fight. Which probably could have been a Draw or gone either way.

However, I believe that it was a fair verdict. I thought Ball just barely edged it due to his punch volume and cleaner punching; Especially with those uppercuts.

Ford dominated the second half of the fight with the harder connects. He hurt ball several times.

However, I believe that he mounted his attack a bit too late; By languishing on the ropes and spotting Ball too many of those earlier rounds.

It was a great fight, as predicted. Rare to see a young fighter, especially an American one, show such class after a very competive loss. Ford is good enough to become a champion at 130lbs, but nothing comes easy at this level.

Yeah, a good succinct summary of how the fight went.

I had it 114-114. Thought the scorecards were fine. Glad Nick got it tbf, considering he was robbed against Vargas and Ford was going to just vacate anyway. At least we still have a worthy champion at 126.

Given that Ball should've already been a champion when he defeated Vargas and that Ford was very lucky to have the referee help him get the belt in a match Kholmatov was winning, I'd say it balanced out.

Now either Vargas needs to fight Figueroa or just get stripped if he's gonna be winless and inactive 2t feather for years.

I had it 7-5 to ball but a draw wouldn't of been the worst decision. It was definitely more of a draw then balls last fight where he got a draw against Vargas. I thought he won that clearer than he won this fight but Ford can come again at 130lbs and there's good fights to make there for him and winnable ones aswell

If Ford was struggling so much to make 126 , I wonder if moving up just four pounds will be enough for him. He's got the size to handle 135. It was a really good fight and both guys had success. I thought that the verdict was fair. Ball was just too busy for Ford. Every time that Ball punched it was a minimum of a three punch combination and usually more. Both guys are good enough to stick around at a high level for a while. A rematch would be nice, especially for the fans.

Ball is the epitome of quantity over quality.

Thought Ford did enough to win it and was the better fighter overall. Once Ford hurt Ball in the 7th round, he was never the same and almost every round in the 2nd half of the fight.
