why do boxing fans do everything in their power to destroy fighters? i get some styles dont favor us and some fighters we dislike personally; but if you know how brutal this sport is and how hard it is to make it at the top level then there should at least be a level or respect. like it or not wilder fought at the top of his division weather weak or strong these are top fighters of their time. He was definitely not skilled but he did good for himself with what he had... he seems to have gotten technically worse with malik scott and became so full of himself he didnt listen or work like he should have, wit that i enjoyed his run for what was.

Do you think you should be fighting guys like this when you hold the WBC heavyweight championship?

Finkel and Haymon knew. Real fans knew. Fanboys loved that fool, damn near Til This Day...

No-one ducked Wilder. The ducking allegations built into the myth. The man, the myth, the baddest man on the planet, the most devastating puncher in history.

None of that was true. He hit hard - but so do a lot of Heavyweights. The difference is that they don't reach and commit in the way Wilder did because their opponents have the quality to counter them. Heavyweights being built up always have high knockout percentages until they reach the upper echelons of the sport. Wilder just kept doing that for about 40 fights.

Everyone was happy to build the myth... But every decent fighter also wanted him because he was the best route to a title and a defining win.

Do you really think Fury, returning from obesity and drugs, would have gone straight into Joshua? There's no chance, but he joined and then jumped the queue to fight Wilder. Bold move, but he knew what everyone knew. He could beat Wilder and then proclaim he'd beaten the biggest hitter in the division.

I also say good on Wilder. He made a lot of money and status from middling ability. Credit where it's due. But he's massively over achieved thanks to being carefully guided by his handlers who knew they had to avoid anything that could derail him.
              Well said, bro. Well said.

But you're wasting your time with these guys here. Most of them don't think for themselves.

I'm not just a fan. I competed and my family has deep roots in boxing. My commitment additionally runs very deep and it has nothing to do with style, it has everything to do with being scammed and Wilder was just that, a scam. That's why I posted this. Wilder is the biggest scam in boxing history. They tried changing the history books with Wilder having the greatest power in boxing history when he didn't.

Wilder did NOT fight at the TOP of his division, that's the rub. He avoided a lot of fighters because Finkel knew he had no chance and their return on investment would fall should of what they originally planned on. 38 bums in a row is not the top man, wake up...please!

If you enjoyed this circus scam, shame on you. People like you are the problem, you're easily tricked and helped devolve this sport into a shithaus. Dude with his mouth agape, yelling bomb squad, racist, making excuses, saying his hs trainer drugged his water, his outfit was too heavy, egg weights, wanting to kill someone. Wilder is not only a scam, but a bonifide, certifide, scumbag!

Today is a great day, they cashed in and it's over. Let's look forward to tomorrow and what the US can bring to the table.

He is so f.ucking bad, that it is painful to watch.

Always the same story, doing nothing while waiting to land his only punch.

People were confused with him dropping Fury and beating 40+ old Ortiz.

I have been saying he ****** since Ortiz almost stopped him in the seventh round.

He is a terrible boxer and I must actually congratulate him for fooling the world so long and making a huge money.
