shvedenko 2 years ago. everybody else declined to fight in a final eliminator. why should have scull done? declined as well because people around the world haven't heard about him?

canelo had 3 mandatories waiting 2 years ago already. the only problem is that all 3 of them (wbc, wba, ibf) weren't called in 2022 which would result in stripping.

also whoever haven't heard about someone listed number 1 by any sancioning body (for 2 years!) is not even a casual fan, just a regular citizen.

his eliminator fight. he's not great, boogeyman, whatever. he just deserved his high ranking by ACCEPTING to fight. wba and wbc mandatories are in front of ibf but since those two did nothing for two damn years ibf decided that enough is enough and called their own mandatory. OF COURSE benavidez and morrell are better fighters and they deserve their shots more but they were off the table regardless of scull and ibf. after that was clear, i wanted scull more than berlanga and other guys who never fought eliminators. everybody ranked bellow benavidez and morrell is nothing special. i would rather see scull get his shot for accepting to fight and paying sanctioning fees and waiting for 2 years than somebody who never fought an eliminator and didn't have to wait.

if you don't put time and effort, don't do any research at all, you are not a fan of something at all, not even casual fan. nobody HAS to do all that but if you don't care enough then you are definitely not a fan.

if someone thinks that he is a boxing fan because he watches a fight here and there and nothing else, then all of us are fans of trees and roads and cars because we casually see them every day (more than regular citizens watch boxing). it's like telling every one of us is a fan of politics because we watch the news and casually hear about politics. i am just calling a spade a spade.

Ah ok. What kind of style does Scull have? How did he look in that fight v Shvedenko? I presume you've watched him.

Also, no actual boxing fan gives a damn about IBF/WBC/WBO/whatever rankings, everyone knows they're bs, which is why actual fans talk p4p.

Only the casual fan would look at an IBF/whatever ranking and accept that their number 1 is meaningful in any way at all.
