but having said that, we must distinguish between those caught with illegals and those not caught, those caught are more like to be cheating than those not caught i would say
I don't know percentages but it looks like boxing athletes are driven to get any edge. I think a lot of guys do cycle and use... I can't say I can prove it, it is merely an opinion. But yeah of course proven guilty is different than guilty until proven innocent.
I look at the big picture: There are some really good drugs out there that can speed healing, help us recover, and as a citizen I have access to many of these drugs. Yet as a professional athlete, even for recovery these substances cannot be used. Thats screwy enough that I would not consider it cheating if after a fight I took some steroidal preparations to heal... If somneone said "take it up until this date" I probably would. A lot of stuff people have no understanding of. Most people do not even know what a steroid technically is.
These substances do not come into our bodies and start restructuring us into beasts, many things we take, including some steroidals are catalysts that facilitate our endocrine system to message our bodies to increase production, grow, etc. My point is, there are a lot of different nutritional aspects that help us get better and at a certain point, what is legal, and illegal, gets blurred. Vitamins and nutritional stuff (legal) acts in similar fashion... Are they illegal JUST because they are less effective? Rhetorical question.

Apparently ostarine contamination is surprisingly common occurrence in the supplement industry. Also as per the fantastic and informative video you linked the amounts he would had to have taken to get those levels in his blood are so miniscule that contamination seems like the most likely cause considering he didn't have enough in his system to actually get any physical benefits from it. And to those who say it shouldn't matter the amount, having it makes him a cheat, I would really encourage them to do some more research on PEDS and their efficacy (effectiveness) levels or at the very least watch the video because it explains clearly why ostarine wouldn't be something a wealthy athlete with access to the best doctors and PED's would even bother taking. P.S. It's hard to take an trainer or athlete seriously when they cry about someone else taking PEDS when u work with Victor Conte and we have seen ur body transform (D.H. got considerably thicker and more muscular in a fairly short amount of time, since anouncing he was leaving 135 to go to 140, which he already seems to have outgrown after just 2 fights) and u claim to be able rehydrate 25lbs in 24hrs (which would be15% of his total bodyweight)without any IV use or some sort of PEDS is very hard to believe
Although it's worth noting, miniscule amounts detected doesn't mean that minuscule amounts were being used, just that they aren't detectable.
Ostarine is a strange choice with the options out there but it's not outside the realms of possibility for him to be using that. Some people would rather go the SARM route as opposed to taking real potent gear for whatever reason, which I think it real dumb myself. I'm not a fan of SARMS in general.remmy0112 likes this.

Something really stinks of rat about this especially Devins younger brother not being able to contain himself and ssying that allah came to him and told him ryan was going to pop dirty like 10 days before anyone else knew
Its obvious the young guy overheard a "plan" and just couldnt contain himself
Also al you guys should check out this video hes a steroid specialist and hes basically clearing ryan of willingly cheating and is certain its contamination...this guy is well respected in that field

It is a hard place to be because the drug testing authorities do better if people have incentive not to use, but here is a guy with a relatively basic substance in his system. Do you make an example of him? Do you try to make the punishment fit the crime in terms of severity? All the while, as you say, everyone knows that guys are popping left and right...
Just a real rhetorical hard place to be...Last edited by billeau2; 05-27-2024, 01:52 PM.
