I don't think Tank Davis has reached the level of hate like Floyd did to sell fights. He still has audiences that watch his fights to see display of skills. Even then fans want competitive fights. That's why I chuckle when they say Floyd is genius in making money. If that is the case, then his exhibition fights should at least have opponents that have a chance to beat him, thus see him lose. If not, then what's the point of buying them?

How come nobody is talking about Tank vs Martin?

This fight is getting and deserves about as much buzz as Canelo / Ryder, probably less.
Martin isn't a big puncher and last time out he had to rally late against a virtual nobody.
if you're a big Tank fan, enjoy but don't expect the rest of the boxing world to fake excitement

You Said.
It's not that Tank is so good that Tank v anybody is a cherry pick. Its that Tank v anybody whom he's willing to fight is a cherry pick.
I said
That is a hater's phrase if I've ever seen one. It's a no-win situation vs. any opponent.

Tank fought Barrios, he fought Garcia, let's remember he's a natural 130-pounder, we should be looking at Navarrette and Loma as his natural rivals, along with Frank Martin. The weight thing is all screwed up and the fights in these 130-140 lbs. divisions are personal grudge matches, weight and belts are useless. Haney gets to be undisputed without fighting Loma, Lopez, Tank or Garcia - he saw a one-hit wonder in Kambosos, an unavailable Loma and he pushed Kambosos out of the way like a gnat, in two awful fights that reminded me how overrated Haney is. So Tank is in the middle of all this and he can't win for trying.
Frank Martin is a combination-throwing, high IQ southpaw with the right attitude. He's only trash-talking to shut Tank up. I'd give him more of a chance if he had a bit more power, because unless you take Tank down, he's going to find a way to win. Romero, Garcia, Pit Bull Cruz, Leo Santa Cuz, Barrios -- he won differently each time. Hard to bet against him but Martin will put up a good showing I believe.
