  • How come nobody is talking about Tank vs Martin?

You all not excited about the fight? Somewhere (you know who) have said that Tank was ducking Martin. Well, it's happening soon

Good fight with a top contender, not sure it be a PPV draw if it were on it's own though. But overall should be as difficult for Davis as it was for Stevenson vs De Los Santos or Lopez vs Ortiz.

Frank Martin put a superb performance against Michel Rivera who turned out to have tested positive.

but perhaps to what's considered a close decision win over Artem Harutyunyan in a single performance has negatively affected the the public's opinion on his standing as a pro boxer. Which it shouldn't considering not every fight is going to look dominant.

Most probably most think Martin doesn't really have high odds on pulling a win against the more highly renown fighter, doesn't help the WBA published that it is attempting to add a 10 pound rehydration clause like the IBF in this bout specifically.

Tank cherry picks and theyve sparred before so it would seem a foregone conclusion

Not to mention if you look at martins last few fights hes simply not accurate enough to make a proper dent in tank

Leonard Ellerbe sucks as a promoter. He was already talking to the media saying Frank can't beat Tank weeks or months even before the fight was yet to be made or negotiated. Promoters are supposed to promote fighters, not demote them. Otherwise, why bother making it in the first place? You're supposed to say Frank Martin is a dangerous fight for Tank even if it's not true.

Bottom line for me is that Tank v anybody is a cherry pick. So you've already seen this fight; it was just a different name instead of Martin.

How does a boxing fan get excited for a fight, or even anything a particular fighter does, if he avoids big threats and there is little risk of losing?

I'll watch it because it's boxing. But in a sense the whole setup is missing an element of risk and competitivesness (on the A-side) that makes boxing great.

If Martin happens to shock us, then I'll be very happy for that. But, judging from his low activity, he might plan on following that same Tank Davis path with his belt too.

I think boxing fans are focused on Usyk’s big win, the p4p debate, and Ryan’s cheating that should take away his win.

After this weekend when PBC starts marketing that fight more I expect you will get more buzz.

This is a good fight. Those hating on it seem to be doing so just because they don’t like Tank.

This fight is much better than Loma v Kambosos or Shakur v whoever the guy he is fighting.

Because Tank is a ****ing bum that is imposing rehydration clauses on everyone he fights. Another fraud like Fraud Haney who was stepping into the ting at 165 pounds at lightweight lol

total fraud Americans man **** them and their stage managed careers

So if Tank v anyone is a cherry pick, does it matter who he fights?

I am assuming you mean you will call it a cherry pick unless it’s Loma or Shakur. Is that standard the same for all?
