The IBF’s rankings Middleweight and above are absolutely TERRIBLE.

Here’s the mandatory or highest rated contender in each division.

    Heavyweight: Hrgovic.
    Cruiserweight: Cinkara
    Light Heavy: Eifert
    Super Middle: Scull
    Middleweight: Mikhailovich

If you’re gonna strip guys a few weeks after becoming undisputed, how about you rank some decent f***ing fighters.

I barely know who half these guys even are.

All sanctioning body rankings are terrible in every division.

They don't even pretend to rank the best fighters. They rank fighters based on who plays their political game and jumps through their specific hoops the best.

Abass Baraou and Yoenis Tellez put on a show during a slow boxing weekend. Here are the latest ESPN rankings in all weight classes.

I doubt anybody keeps stats on it but would bet IBF mandatories get blasted out early more so than any other organisation.
I’ve watched Hrgovic, watched Eifert once against Pascal, never watched a full fight of the other three. Mikhailovich is pretty alien to me too.

Yeah all the ABC produce some shocking mandatories but the IBF’s are definitely the most frequent.

Yep, by far the best three.

TBRB stands well above the rest.

Still haven't forgiven the Ring for splitting their light heavyweight title from the lineal championship (currently the oldest unbroken lineal title in boxing).

I slightly prefer Ring due to the historical significance but I respect all three. All produce very realistic ratings.

The Ring threw their historical significance in the trash when they broke from the lineal title in multiple divisions, allowed #3s and #4s to fight for their vacant championship, and sold out to a promoter. They're WBA tier at this point being owned by DLH.

Their streets ahead of WBA, don’t be so dramatic man.

They ranked a dead guy and had 46 year old Fres Oquendo as #1 at HW.

Doesn't matter. When you are literally owned by a promoter you have no claim to credibility. Either you have credibility or you don't, there are no levels to it. It's a pass/fail thing.

Everyone who had credibility at The Ring literally left to found the TBRB. That's how and why the TBRB came into existence in the first place: because everyone at The Ring with any integrity left to form an independent, volunteer replacement.

So being owned by a promoter is worse than ranking dead guys?
