Also going to mention that the whole reason P4P exists is to put a little more respect on the lower weight divisions. Everyone knows that if Usyk fought Bud or Inoue that it would be a massacre. The point is to credit skills outside of being in the heavyweight division. That's part of why I have a hard time putting Usyk on top. YMMV, but that particular fact hasn't been mentioned yet.

Thats why P4P is a myth, its really just a fan argument singing the praise of their favorite guy nothing more, when it started I think maybe with Benny Leonard and Ray Robinson it was all about being the worlds best fighter metaphorically regardless of weight, Im old school over 3 times the age of most in here and for me personally I look at the art of boxing and level of opponents, the skillset, power to weight ratio and the mental state of a fighter when fighting far outweighs trophies and titles, Im not a fan I follow the sport and have always looked at fighters like a trainer looks at racehorses which is observation of small details needed to win and win in what class, the more you get into something the more faults you see and more you come to understand the mechanics and temperament of greatness, fans dont get into things in a deep way, they like saber shaking and gossip they like to argue their Tonka truck is the best ever, well if they ever entered into real competition in any walk of life they soon gather a lot of respect for the other guys truck.

With one on one fighting what else can pound for pound mean other than the imaginary fight between two guys if they weighed the same, literary the words in a nutshell, in that context I cant think of a HW that could match the ability of the lighter weight greats, and there are many reasons for that starting with the developing body and how it tunes itself through the growth stages, just as there are many reasons girls cant fight like boys and maybe it starts with boys throwing stones, but all the little details is what makes up the final package, if you cant see those details then how can you claim greatness.

Can’t blame the car crash, Spence had good wins after the crash. He was the favorite to win. Crawford soundly defeated Spence and Porter, two of the top dogs at 147. Danny ducked him. Charlo is ducking him at 154.

Being P4P , has to include activity. When you have three talented kings like the three mentioned, the one with most activity will be rated higher. So Crawford has to be 3.

That made no sense to me as each division has its own set of obstacles, opportunity and classes of opponents, nothing is equal so how can the trophy define the win, which is the angle your coming from.

I think as boxers Bud has more to his game and would beat Inoue if they were in the same division, Im looking at the fighters not their achievements, but I wouldnt be surprised if Inoue won, there is not a lot between greats just milliseconds, I just think Bud is a bit better in the silk department.

I have to say Usyk after what he did. It was a monumental task, to beat a guy with such a huge height, reach and weight advantage. A guy known for using his size to bully you and get away with rough tactics, but also very fast, skilled and light on his feet.

You can't go wrong with any of those 3 though. Bud, Usyk, Inoue all doing amazing things right now and I'm just happy we're getting the fights we deserve as fans. They all keep raising the bar. Inoue raised it with his performance against Fulton, Bud raised it with his performance against Spence, and Usyk raised it this weekend. I can't wait to see who dares to be even greater.

Crawford has been about the same as Usyk as far as activity. It's just Inoue that has been active.

                  Crawford:
1 fight scheduled in 2024 (so far, possibly fighting again in December)
                  1 fight in 2023
                  1 fight in 2022
                  1 fight in 2021
                  1 fight in 2020
                  2 fights in 2019
                  2 fights in 2018

                  Usyk:
1 fight in 2024 (so far, supposed to fight Fury again later this year)
                  1 fight in 2023
                  1 fight in 2022
                  1 fight in 2021
                  1 fight in 2020
                  1 fight in 2019
                  3 fights in 2018

                  Inoue:
1 fight in 2024 (so far, supposed to fight in August and December if all goes well)
                  2 fights in 2023
                  2 fights in 2022
                  2 fights in 2021
                  1 fight in 2020
                  2 fights in 2019
                  2 fights in 2018

Depends what you like honestly, Inoue has been washing all bigger challengers for a while now, definitely the best to watch imo. I think Crawfish is still the most well rounded and skilled out of the lot but his lack of activity hurts him and Usyk has convincing beat his top rivals in Joshua and Fury who outweigh him by 40 pounds. All are the real deal. We are lucky to see them.

Well Usyk is definately above Crawford because he is fighting much larger guys. Crawford has fully grown into welterweight, those guys are his size. Spence is basically his size.
Usyk is beating guys with 20-40 pounds on him.

I think he is above Inoue as well. I think the talent pool is lower in the very low divisions and also the divisions are only 3 pounds apart at times so its easy for them to run through multiple divisions down there.

Usyk's footwork, workrate and stamina are insane for a modern heavyweight. Can I say the same for Crawford and Inoue? I can say those two are good but I cant say that they are some of the very best of the last 20 years like I can say with Usyk.
