Bivol didn't want to fight until he turned 40 anyway.

Dmitry should move on. Don`t follow the destiny of Stanionis waiting on Ortiz jr. fight that never happened. Beterbiev is almost 40 old and it is unclear when he will be ready.Comment

Canelo Alvarez ain't goin nowhere near 175 ever again for the rest of his boxing life! The more I think of it, I am honestly not sure the fight will happen, and Artur may just retire after the injury... OR he makes this the retirement fight and they move it to Russia... where this would be a massive fight.
In the meantime, I think we possibly get Bivol vs Canelo 2 in the fall? And Artur vs Bivol in January in Moscow?Comment

No, they'll likely just shave the meniscus off and he'll be back quickly. Both Karl Anthony-Towns and Joel Embiid in the NBA had the exact same injury this season. Towns came back extremely fast, just 4 weeks after the surgery, while Embiid took 8 weeks. But in general it's a 6-8 week recovery timeline and then they're back to full activity.
It will have negative consequences later in life, but shaving off the torn part is a much faster recovery and most athletes choose that over the full repair. The full repair doesn't always work, but when it does it's a better quality of life in the long term. But the trade off is a much longer recovery time and the chance that it simply doesn't heal and you end up having to shave it anyway.Comment

You should reevaluate your fanboyism of individual fighters and particularly Benavidez. It's boring apart from anything else. David looks like a decent pressure fighter who will be in some exciting fights. He's not Roy Jones.Comment

As far as I remember, Floyd Mayweather never once postponed a fight due to injury. Neither did Pacquiao, Bernard Hopkins, Lennox Lewis and many others. This sort of thing happens and just as in sport animals the best are the most injury prone when conditioning them, because they always give their all and it can break something quite easy, the man in the street doesn't have a clue how hard these are guys push themselves its close to super human stuff. Hope he heals completely and we get the fight.
The post May-Pac inactive generation are doing something wrong.Comment
