Beterbiev doesn't put on weight between fights. Problem is he's almost 40, and since Covid has only probably had 1-2 training camps per year.

He's got a contract dispute ongoing with Frank i think.

Benavidez got a fight June 15th.

Morrell might be the option, he is on a Saudi card anyway for August they can just pull him from that

Well thats a bummer, thing with Beterviev is that hes about to hit 40 so the longer it takes for them to actually step in there to fight ,Bivol becomes more of a favorite imo,add injuries and inactivity now. Maybe Benavidez moving up start to make even more sense now. He beats Gvozdyk and he should be in the mix.

              Oh, fiddlesticks.

Not only this, but it's now likely Bivol will not only need a stay busy fight, but Artur will come back and need a tune-up, and then he'll have another injury, and then...

Waiting for Fury to pull out of the May 18th clash any moment now.

It's almost like 'hey boxing, you've had quite a few reasonably big fights back to back, take a break'.

Wishing Artur a completely healthy recovery. Darn, this was probably the best matchup this year, although without the big promotional hype.

Look at Fury-Usyk, the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world, not much publicity. Let's hope that fight happens.

Don't be shocked if something happens, and there's no fight. But have confidence it'll go ahead this month.

Could be that long could be less. But Beterbiev is 39 not going to be as quick to heal from surgery. I saw someone write maybe ready for September, that aint happening. Bivol will need to just fight someone else.

Had a feeling this might happen.. because it was a quick turn around for a injury prone beterbiev who can only seem to fight once a year nowadays. Can see this happening probably January and be one of the first cards of 2025 because a meniscus injury especially someone who's older aswell can take like 4-6 months to heal then he's gotta do the camp and then hope he doesn't pick up another injury. But it's up to bivol if he wants to be on the shelf for a year himself of if he wants to have a run out in the summer but with the amount that's at stake and the money he's probably making for a beterbiev can see him just waiting it out tbh which is annoying for him.
