Big haymaker landed by De La Hoya! You could tell by Canelo's facial expression and body language that he got rattled by those comments. As soon as Golovkin's name got mentioned Canelo got super defensive and started going at Oscar - he knows full well in his heart Goldenboy paid to get him a draw and win but he started yapping on about Oscar stealing money from him which I'd say with some certainty is bull-chit.

Saying he doesn't look after his fighters takes there money and the spotlight. He mentioned everything he just said was scripted and that dela hoya doesn't have the balls to confront him like a man etc

I'd beg to differ. Oscar Valdez from Reynoso's gym also pi$$ed dirty and tried to blame in on green tea. what would the probability be for two fighters from the same stable failing drugs tests due to tainted beef and green tea? Its way too much of a coincidence. In my opinion he has been on numerous substances throughout his career but just never got caught. Canelo has had some of the most dramatic body transformations in the sport, I don't think any other fighter in the sport today can compare to it. For years he ****** on about not being a middleweight then suddenly he's entertaining the prospect of a cruiserweight run...

The promoter organises the deal....Canelo gets paid....and then Canelo...out of his payment...pays his trainers, cutmen and other members of his team. The ones who are actually sourced to have him physically and mentally ready to fight. You must understand that. Dazn paid Canelo for promotional rights....Canelo didn't pay them. PBC paid Canelo for promotional rights. Do you see how that works? Canelo is a sub contractor who gets paid to do a job....just like the guy who built my house. He brings in brickies, chippies and sparkies that im not responsible for. If my house falls down...thats on the builder and his team...and ultimately they must be held accountable for that.
              No, you are terribly confused.

The fighter doesn't work for the promoter. They sign a deal with a promoter, in which the promoter then works for them and is paid to do a job by them out of their purse.

Where does the purse come from? Are you saying that DAZN for example paid Canelo to let them be his employees? Im fairly certain that they paid him a certain amount to fight a certain amount of fights. They then make profit from tv rights and other such avenues. Im no businessman ....but im pretty sure Canelo wasnt paying DAZN anything. Any money made from the promotional company is from upselling a product. Canelo can theoretically command 20 million a fight. If the fight makes 10 million....that loss isnt absorbed by Canelo. It comes out of the promoters pocket because they bought high and sold low....and at the end of the day Canelo gats "paid" from the promoter regardless. He isnt buying their services....they are buying his. When he looks for a new promoter he isnt asking how much will they "take"....hes asking how much will they "pay".

Those calling canelo ungrateful including oscar have forgotten that when oscar was betrayed by Richard Schaefer, canelo was the only loyal star that didnt abandoned golden boy, he could have gotten a lot more with pbc but remained loyal, not only that. At that time canelo represented like 90 percent of golden boy earnings , in other words they stayed alive only because of canelo. Golden boy would have gone bankruptcy if it wasnt for him.. Canelo showed loyalty big time only for oscar to turn around later and do shady things like double contracts and **** on canelos deal with dazn..

You keep bringing up the fight, it's irrelevant. It's the biggest fight of your life, your promoter, the person you're paying to be there, is too busy on a ******* bender to be around.

It's not rocket science as to why there's no love loss from Canelo's side.
I've never in my life heard anyone refer to their promoter as part of their "team". You're grasping at straws.
