In fairness to Oscar, he built Canelo to be the superstar that he once was. Canelo, on the other hand is now tarnishing his legacy by taking the easiest fights to build his retirement income. Not fighting Benevidez shows Canelo doesn’t want the smoke anymore. That also is Canelo’s right. As fans we don’t need to pay to watch his fights. In fact, there is another option, catch the streamed signal for free if you want instead of paying ridiculous money for these boring fights. Or, you can choose the not watch at all. Each side has the option to get what they want. That’s called choice.

Canelo is just salty about both of his losses and will throw anyone under the bus to make himself look good. Damn, I feel like crap defending Oscar like this, but Canelo is arguably a bigger diva than Oscar and Floyd ever was when they were at the top.

We should never forget that Canelo is a drug cheat. Oscar used drugs to personally get high. He did damage to himself. Canelo used drugs to get an unfair advantage over his opponents, and in the process, put another fighters life at risk. For all of Oscars indiscretions, he was clean in the ring and took every challenge and ducked nobody. I’d take Oscar over a boxing drug cheat like Canelo any day.

Oscar's job was to land Canelo the biggest fight and payday of his life and promote that fight. He did that.
It's up to Canelo and his team to go out there and win the fight. They're the ones responsible for getting him prepared mentally and physically the best they can. Not Oscar.
You keep bringing up the fight, it's irrelevant. It's the biggest fight of your life, your promoter, the person you're paying to be there, is too busy on a ******* bender to be around.
It's not rocket science as to why there's no love loss from Canelo's side.

What's Canelo supposed to do? Be happy about it? He has every reason not to be.

He is being paid by Canelo to be his promoter, which comes with a plethora of responsibilities. One of which is refraining from doing so much ******* that you go M.I.A for the week of the biggest fight of your life.
You can tap dance around that fact for some weird reason all you like it doesn't change the fact it means Canelo has zero reason to have any kind of respect or positive feelings toward Oscar.
