And even with that said, why isn't benavidez calling out the other top guys in the division instead of sitting around waiting on canelo?
Its because he is part of the "chase a payday era"
And when the fighter has the title it means you earned a shot at the fighter also. Logic isnt your strong point.

Sitting around waiting? I guess you missed him beating up Andrade and Plant last year, while Charlo sat on the couch for 2 years and got the fight.

This article is like a child who got their first chance to write about boxing whilst never having spent one minute in a ring.

I'm not even Canelo's biggest fan but he's a generational talent and has earned the right to pick and choose. This writer hasnt earned ****.

Except you can't force someone to fight smart guy. Thus you earned a shot at the belt, not necessarily the belt holder. Champs who hold multiple belts vacate them often.

So a guy who was just kod in his previous fight and a guy who fights once every 2 years and has never fought a meaningful fight is supposed to earn you a fight against the biggest draw in boxing lol?

The charlo that sat on the couch for 2 years aint the charlo that fought canelo dumb ass

Sorry the one who Canelo fought sat on the couch for only 17 months lol clearly earned it more than Benavidez. You seem confused. Earning a shot means you earned a shot at the guy currently holding it. Of course he can drop it but until he does you earned the fight as well. David is interim champ, canelos mandatory, and ranked rings 1 for the last 4 years. If that is not enough to earn the fight with canelo let me know what is. We know canelos metric, make sure you are a cherry pick and you get the fight.

You do know its a writer's job is to write articles and a its boxer's job step in the ring don't you? You seem to have got the 2 mixed up... The article is a fantastic piece of writing and spot on for once.

If you call a convicted drugs cheat who has fought one serious opponent since 2018 and should have 5 losses on his record "a generational talent" then you clearly have low standards...

Apart from monks and nuns who have taken a vow of poverty who in this modern world is not a money lover? It is called prize fighting after all. As to "scum sucking" what is the point of that moniker? Though you say your comments are not hate, your post is the very definition of hate. Facts over feelings dude!

Right, the one who dictates the pace of the fight will have the advantage. We shall soon see.

FYI. Canelo has fought more American Black fighters than Floyd Mayweather did. So, if I understand your post the only opponents who are tough fights are Black fighters. Don't you think that statement is over the top and not even true?

If he just wants to fight exhibitions, drop the belts and say so. The fact is, he could probably make more money fighting Jake Paul.
If Canelo has violated the rules of any of the 4 sanctioning bodies, those organizations should strip him of their title. The sanctioning bodies should enforce their own rules. Which rule or rules has Canelo violated?
