Wow, you managed to write an article that not only unfairly criticizes Canelo -- all the accusations about "no tough fights" seem to really just be "he isn't fighting Benavidez yet" -- but you've also given a widely poor take on what Bivol had shown before fighting Canelo at the same time. Some of us were well aware that Bivol was probably the hardest fight Canelo could possibly take at 175. I'm sorry if you don't know enough about boxing to have seen that?Verus likes this.

I'm praying Munguia knocks him out unconscious - if ever there was a fighter who deserved to be violently put to sleep it's Canelo, for his attitude and entitled behaviour.
It's absolutely reprehensible that the majority of what's spewed forth from one side of their mouth to be damn near criminal for one fighter but for another almost praise worthy it's beyond inconsistent.
And is completely incongruent with being an alleged fan of the sport and instead a fan of a man...Last edited by Boro; 04-29-2024, 07:36 AM.Verus likes this.

Sports are competitive, you no longer feel hungry then retire. Simple as that: this is a consumer driven sport but unfortunately is filled with more than enough fatherless homers that spend their days defending fighters. This is the only sport where the best are not forced to face the best. In all honesty the champion should have to fight the #1 contender in their division every year. Imagine nadal saying he doesn’t want to face such and such..not happening.

Canelo sure does take tough fights:
1) Fights a guy 2 weight classes below
2) Fights a shot LHW in Kovalev
3) Fights GGG way past his prime (Lost two of the 3 fights IMO)
But when you fight Canelo, your biggest fight is against the Judges.

I think he's fighting Mungia in preparation for Benavidez in September. Younger, bigger guy who throws alot of punches. Similar-ish style to Benavidez

Damn. We've had someone blame Eddie Hearn for this. Now it's the organisations. Anyone but the coward himself. His fanatical fans can live with that. They just hate it when people see straight through Canelo Alvarez and acknowledge him to be the one to blame. Kind of messes with you and the ego when you're trying to live vicariously through a coward, doesn't it?
If you're so blinded by your pathetic need to hate on someone that's actually accomplished something in their lives that you think that the alphabet organizations don't bear the entire blame for not ordering their mandatories, that's on you. Canelo's crappy choice of voluntary opponents appears to be on him, but the fact that the organizations LET him do that is on them. Period. That's their job, they're the ones issuing the belts and ignoring their own rules to enable him. If you can't see that, I have nothing more to say to you. Especially since you're one the biggest cowards on this site... Lace up and get in the ring yourself. Then call him a coward.Verus likes this.
