Booty is with Hearn with the 147 BF. Who has the 154 IBF? Go look and he is free to fight. One fight on a Saudi card in which Hearn is the lead promoter which is why Oscar is mad and Booty is mandatory for the IBF 154. Now Crawford has to go through Booty to be undisputed.

Oscar is not letting his new cash cow fight Booty. This is a dream.

Booty will waste away in 147 because he won't risk his 0 against the carnage going on in the 154 fight right now.

    Davis 2.0

You see Turk knows the fans wanted to see Booty vs Ortiz Jr 147, not Ryan, not Little 5.2 Benn.

Guess what fight Turk is going to call for if Ortiz beats Tim and Booty shows up in 154?

Remember Turk isn't looking for mandatories vs match-ups fans have been asking for.

Crawford's path to undisputed doesn't require Booty

I think he should atleast win a legit title at 147 first. Because I don’t count his title at the moment.
      Yes, I agree. That’s true.

Please do a poll amongst your boxing fan friends AND ask them how long they’ve known Boots vs how long they’ve known Madrinov.

Before the discussion came up on fighting Boots o had no idea who he was. I asked 6 of my friends (one is a boxing trainer) and nobody had heard of Madrinov until about a month ago.

Boots is much more well known than Kavaliauskas and Avanesyan yet Bud fought those two.

Bud’s PPV with Porter sold 165K PPV …. that’s an incredibly low number. So Bud is no different from Boots except that he’s won multiple titles.
My real life boxing friends are all Japanese and lives in Japan so that question doesn't really help Boots' case. Those who are casual definitely don't know both (more likely to know Crawford because his name gets mentioned a lot with regards to Inoue). Super hardcore fans who keep track of just title fights may know them, but that is about it. He doesn't have a signature match that people talk about to interest others either. Heck, the 22 years old Japanese welterweight prospect Jin Sasaki probably is more known among hardcore Japanese boxing fans than Boots simply because he is Japanese.

And the fact that Bud won multiple titles (among various divisions) is exactly why Bud is a surefire HoFer with an outside potential to become the first ever three division undisputed in 4 belt era, while Boots is currently still an email single belt champion, which is a huge difference.

I do not doubt Boots credentials or his HoF status. I was asking about Madrinov and Boots.
In the US, I can bet nobody knew of Madrinov until last month.
Boots is way more well known than Madrinov. Perhaps maybe to the casual boxing fans who only show up to criticize.

You don’t have to ask your friends. Just go to a bar that’s showing a jogging fight and mention Madrinov or go to a boxing gym and mention Madrinov.
Boots will not be a stranger to them.

This idea that Boots has to make a name for himself or prove something to get a shot at Bud is ridiculous. It’s the reason I’m pretty sure if Boots was to skip 147 all together and go fight Charlo for the remaining two belts, Bud will find a way to say Boots has accomplished nothing in his career to warrant a fight. As though Madrinov has.
