I’d try and get Ennis in with Murtazaliev for the IBF at 154. At least that way, if Bud wants to become undisputed at 154, he would need to fight Ennis.

ATM, Ennis is just an email champ at 147. He’s nowhere near a Crawford fight.

If Ennis wanted Bud, he should have bumped off Tszyu. There are better fights for Bud before Boots. The Tower, unification, Tszyu himself brings more credentials.. Boots brings squat.

If Ennis wanted Bud, he should have bumped off Tszyu. There are better fights for Bud before Boots. The Tower, unification, Tszyu himself brings more credentials.. Boots brings squat.

Crazy how many people are so invested in riding the Ennis hype that they don't realize he's got nothing.

Here's what he offers:
1. A belt that Bud already has and never lost in the ring, and only got stripped of because SPENCE didn't defend against his mandatory. Ennis not only wasn't Bud's mandatory, he actually chose NOT to pursue the path that led to Bud.
2. A paltry resume that will have people saying either that "Bud fought him too early; he was too green" or "He was a hypejob who had never fought anyone elite."
3. No name recognition because he hasn't fought anyone, and can't even sell out his home town.

If they want that fight, Hearn needs to build him into a money fight, or get a title at 154 before Bud gets them all. Bud won't get any credit for beating him now.
