The only way Haney has a chance to come back and make a name for himself is to get a titanium chin transplant. Given his jab and boxing skills, his chin just can’t take a shot and his old man is a disaster around him.

All Garcia has is a left hook and the Haney think tank played right into Garcia’s hand. His old man is a complete dumb ass just like the fathers of Teo, D. Garcia, Benevidez, and of course R. Garcia. Did you see what a fool Garcia’s father made of himself after the fight? No wonder the kid has so many mental issues!

There’s been talk of a remake of the Wizard of Oz. The remake will feature Devin Haney meeting up with Dorthy, played by Ariana Grande? and asking … do you think the Wizard of Oz can give me a titanium chin???

Some of comments like those here are why fighters avoid risks to cash out.

Whatever Haney does or doesn’t achieve he took the risks EARLY like few do. Consider:

        - He knew how vulnerable he was against Ryan as they fought 6 times - but still moved ahead.

        - He gave away almost half a weight division advantage to Ryan to keep the fight alive knowing Ryan as a puncher would have HUGE advantage and made no excuses afterwards.

        - People talking about Haney holding when Ryan spent whole fight cheating by turning his back and holding crippling Haney ability to do anything - add on the weight cheating.

I am rooting for Haney to come back and prove the haters wrong. He didn’t handle thr pressure.

Happy for Ryan as same situation Haney going through he went through w Tank loss. I just think Ryan has serious mental issues that aren’t going away anytime soon.

Re the idiot poster talking about Ramadan - he didn’t observe or fast - need to keep up.

Real boxing fans realise we need fighters like Haney to risk their zero to get best fights. Credit to him and Ryan for risking same vs Tank.

Haney still has the belts so lets see what happens next.

Devin lost to a very good fighter that’s all. Ryan always had more natural ability than Devin Haney..

Boxing fans like myself only questioned his mental toughness and dedication to the sport. That’s all.

The Haney’s already knew from the out set that they would have their work cut out for them. Why one would ask?

It’s because Ryan has already defeated them three times before in the amateurs.

They took this fight solely for the money because the reward had far exceeded the risk.

Could it be that Ryan Garcia has Devin Haney’s number? Perhaps he does.

However, I don’t believe that anyone in the 140 pound weight division could replicate the same result as Ryan Garcia did against Devin Haney.
No matter who you are as a fighter, you can’t compete in boxing against a puncher if you ain’t got a chin, period. Haney got rocked by Loma and Linares enough to show he’s got problems with his chinny chin chin. Tank and Mathis would retire him. Haney’s only chance is to jab and box. Yes the fights would be boring as sheet but that’s his only chance besides getting a titanium chin transplant and getting rid of his dumb ass father as his trainer. No chin? No mas!!!

Haney will make very good fights at 140. He's the champion there so Lopez and Matias will do

Haney is a big kid, if he can settle down, weigh down on his shots more, learn to develop his already elite level jab... working in angles to set up shots off the jab he may get somewhere. He actually does have a decent chin, He took great shots from Garcia. I think he can put himself in play again, provided he can hurt opponents at 147.
If he couldn't hurt opponents at 135 and 140, i'm not sure he can do it at 147? I know he did hurt Prograis, but that was an outlier. Maybe a good test for him @ 147, would be Conor Benn, or Adrien Broner?

One can have a granite chin all they want but still can take a good asswhooping if they get hit too often. The key is to not get hit at all.

So therefiore, what Devin Haney really needs is a good defense. Especially an upper body defense. Where he moves his head so he won’t get hit at all.

All Haney did was fight old guys and leftovers. He waited til other fighters took the risk and reaped the rewards. He didn't beat Loma when he had all the belts. He didn't beat Lopez when he had all the belts. He cherry picked and jumped on Kambosos. He never fought any real punchers for a reason and you see why. His chin was suspect and he has no power. Also it was his 2nd fight at 140. Yet we're talking like he was weight drained. It didn't matter.
