Barboza makes sense since Ryan rejected the Ramirez fight a while back.
...after what Santillan did to Rocha, I think GBP will be hesitant to give him another call.

Barboza didn't look great in his last bout. He's physically strong, but not fast or a big puncher. Sounds like an opponent GBP would choose.

      Bulls eye.

(This was in response to BoxingParadigm saying Teo or Barrios before Boots gets him. But the post didn't quote for whatever reason.)

Dela Hoya wanted Jose Ramirez for Garcia when the Mayweather distractions were occurring.
Garcia got mad as hell and went back to negotiating with Haney.
So the guy pretty much picks who he wants to fight. If he want Boots, so be it. Losing should be part of the sport.

Yeah, he could render belts meaningless. One day IBHOF induction announcements will prioritize a fighter's Instagram follower count before world titles won.

Santillan? Shoot. I think Santillan wins that.

Mexican-American, former 140lber, former Davis opponent, no outstanding speed/power, and appears like a favorable style match-up. Barrios would definitely rather face Garcia than Ennis or Stanionis. I see Ennis/Stanionis happening before year's end, while Barrios does something else.

Barrios is very fortunate to hold a belt at 147, he’ll be looking to cash those chips in, no doubt.

MR have just won the purse bid for Ennis-Crowley, ironically. Wonder if PBC throw their toys out the pram and pull Crowley out though.

That is BIG money for Ennis, and Crowley would be earning more than double what he'd make against Cissokho.

Judging by that Crawford/Madrimov card, I think the Crowley fight will go through. It's time for PBC to start playing in the same sandbox with the other promoters.

I really hope it does, we need to see Ennis in there with a live body. I think these are two of the best of the next generation post Crawford-Spence.

Any of the top 10 WW beats Ryan with ease so he's going to be protected or fight under special circumstances (143 or 144 Garciaweight) because of his popularity.
