Whether Haney would be the same fighter or mentally same is virtually untrue. He is tough as nails and is mentally strong as they come.

Now physically; That’s purely subjective. It’s an opinion and not a fact but only time will tell whether he will recover from that beat down.

However, there’s one thing that I do know and that is Ryan Garcia is no longer the same fighter. He is now mentally and psychologically scarred.

He is now afraid of getting hit. Which explains his very strange looking Walmart variation of the shoulder roll; While exposing his back in the process for fear of getting hit.

Hell, even feather-fisted Devin Haney had him retreating and fighting off the back foot.

No one is discrediting his resilience and toughness. He was the busier fighter for 5-6 rounds but getting dropped and hurt multiple times was just going to work against him.
Wlad got dropped 3 times by Samuel Peter, but it was the first round I believe. He recovered and won every round after.
Haney was getting beat up badly in at least 5 rounds.

I think his unconventional "shoulder roll" was entirely intentional, the ref never seemed to give him a stern warning for his repeated turning off the back.

And doing so effectively cut off Haney's ability to attack him to the body, But Haney was happy to be given the back but as we know from the Tank fight a solid shot to the ribs and he wilts.

It's likely despite Haney's feather fisted nature he would still fold Garcia with a well placed body shot...

The only shocking/alarming thing about this fight is Haney is suppose to be an elite boxer who seemed ill prepared if prepared at all for a guy who arguably only has the left hook.

Which is disgraceful given the aforementioned lack of power and his questionable chin, he HAS to be able to box to a different level than his opposition otherwise he's going to be found out over and over again, his best wins are a never was Prograis and an extremely debatable win over Loma...
