The crappy part about this talent pool of guys, is they’re all out growing Tank, and he hasn’t fought any of them yet.

I’ve always supported Tank and said that one day he’d step up and fight the big dogs in his 30s. But Tank will peak at 140 at MOST. The rest of these guys are talking 147 already now. By next year, NONE of these guys will be at 140 anymore it looks like. And Tank is getting left behind. Shame cuz I feel he’s the best of them all

He did it to himself. He's ducked so many big fights at this point, and has flat said he'd rather get paid to keep fighting bums than make a legacy. Gonna retire as an overrated bum basher, having only ever fought Garcia. Maybe he'll fight Haney now that Haney is damaged goods. But he didn't even want Teo after Teo lost to Kambosos, and wants no part of Shakur or even old Loma.

Shakur and Loma are the only options left. If Loma and Tank both win, I could see them fighting each other next. And you’re not wrong, Tank has done it to himself. And I’m sure they have much more inside info than I ever would. I just didn’t see the crew all moving up so fast. But it’s happening. He couldn’t fight Haney next cuz Haney talking about 140 is hard to make now. He’ll be 147 soon too. I just wonder if those discussions were ever had in the Tank camp. Like “look you sorry bro. The rest of these boys won’t be here long. Gotta get ‘em soon”.

I'm quite sure those discussions were had long ago, and dismissed as "you're the A-side 'face of boxing', you don't need them". Look at how many guys Tank has fought who were ranked top 5 in the division they fought at... He's been cherry picking his whole career.

Ok ok you don’t like Tank. I get it. I just see it a bit different. I’ve heard all the hate on this side. I know where you stand haha. I was just trying to discuss the reality of the situation now. He’s kinda screwed now as far as any of THOSE big fights. Maybe a Loma, maybe a Shakur. But he’ll likely have to wait for someone else to emerge, to get a marquee fight that matters. Slim pickens beyond the men listed

Everyone made fun of me for saying it back then, but the kid is naturally more talented and has more power than the hugely hyped up guys.

All I've seen on this forum is 90% of people hate the dude because he is an influencer, good looking, and talks openly about God. And he doesn't pretend to be some perfect person, has a sense of humor and personality.

Garcia has the ability to be a great of this era. Haney has no power but he has elite boxing skill. Ryan walked through him. Garcia is willing to fight whomever, he is a throwback and he is for real. Of the four mentioned, only Garcia competes against greats from other eras. Because he has intangibles, and isn't scared.

I will make a crazy prediction for you all. If Garcia ends up fighting Ennis, Garcia stops him. He hits too hard and Ennis takes big shots. Ennis would try to outclass him and get caught.
That's not crazy. I think he beats him too

You're still assuming he wants those fights. I like him just fine for what he is. And he's honest about it. He thinks it's hilarious that people want to pay him to fight bums his whole career and never step up. What I don't like are his delusional fans who think he IS going to step up. He's been riding on WBA secondary belts so people will call him a champion, but doesn't actually have to defend against top contenders, nor CAN he unify, because no other organization will permit their champion to fight a secondary champ for another organization. Those were chosen deliberately. It's disappointing that he will likely never step up his competition and show what he's really made of. He's going to ride speculation and eye test into the sunset. I'm going to seriously laugh if he can parlay his cherry picking career into the HOF.

I don't think it's crazy because the sport is unpredictable, but I see Garcia taking a severe beating before being dropped in the 7th or 8th.

As far as writers labelling the current LWs as "kings": it's an opinion that makes me vomit.
