I think Ryan would have been pulled out if it was all real. But it does seem like he doesn't believe he can beat Haney. If he did he would be all calm and not care much. Why waste all that energy on nonsense??

Terrible take. There's no such thing as an asterisk next to a win due to stuff outside of the ring.

There is no asterisk next to Klitshko-Haye, Ward-Dawson, Pacquiao-Cotto, Lewis-Mccall II, or hell even Mayweather-Pacquiao.

1, He agreed to pay $500k for every pound he was overweight, knowing he was 3lbs overweight
2. He was roaring and saying he is strong over and over
3. He turned up to a press conference in a bulletproof vest
4. He was drinking from a beer bottle on the weighing scales
5. Garcia says it is all an act. If it was an act, why would you reveal it was an act? What would be the point?

And that is not even including the stuff like turning up to a previous press conference drunk/high.

I think alot of fighters smoke weed when not in camp.

Just recently Wilder got popped with weed and a gun in his car.

Jared Anderson same. But also got in a high speed chase.

Even Keyshawn Davis admitted that he just recently stopped smoking weed.

Ryan is not crazy, he's just not street. So he used loud slang to show "I'm not scared". Look at the difference when Crawford argued with someone in the crowd and when Ryan does it. It seems forced and cringe. He's a nice guy and a Mama's boy. Who chugs a beer to look cool? I'll do that in the bathroom at work and hope I'm not detected.

On the one hand, I think Garcia should be getting professional help instead of fighting.

On the other hand, if you step into the ring you leave your excuses on the outside and you live with the results forever. I don't care about physical injuries, mental health issues, new trainers, short notice, rehydration clauses, or any other excuses. I don't believe in asterisks. A win is a win, a loss is a loss. Deal with it either way and move on.

It's possible that it's just playing crazy for publicity, but it doesn't feel like it. He looked bewildered in the press conference where he had the husky voice and was drunk/high, like he was about to cry. And there's a scattershot way thoughts come out when he tries to comminicate that seems like someone genuinely having connections firing and misfiring in their brain.

It's all speaks to a random shltshow rather than a calculated plan.
