I feel like I've heard Teo say hes a free agent after his next fight for his last 2 or 3 fights lol. Everything with Teo seems foggy & deals don't get discussed as openly as they did back in the day so never can be sure when something is about to end. Only really know when something got renewed or already ended.

Teo & Sr said he got dirty looks from damn near everyone at TR after that W. And the consensus take was he wasn't ready for it. Ir this one well cuz I bet a nice amt on Teo at +270 & the girl at the sportbook gave me "I'd be down to suck your **** later" eyes as she counted out my money.

Teo is fighting Steve Claggett next? I like the Canadian but this a bit of a step down for Teo. I guess Top Rank wanted to find someone who doesn't move as much as Jamaine Ortiz because everyone knows Teo doesn't know how to cut the ring.

Steve will stand there, throw his punches and be willing to take them back in return. Exactly what Teo wants in his opponents. Lopez will get his stoppage win and Kreigel can eax eloquent about how the Takeover is back on track.

...and then Teo proceeded to make things difficult with the Kambosos negotiations...but it all blew up in his face.

Team Teo exude this "me against the world" energy which can make them unreliable narrators. Everyone is a potential enemy. TR/ESPN, DAZN/MR.......everyone else is the problem. Honestly, who wants to deal with delusional and paranoid people?

                Apparently TR still.

But yea I'd agree hes a hassle to deal with.

I would defend him on the George thing tho. He definitely got fooked on the timeline of it all in retrospect, but anyone who feels they can get more money with a purse bid than from their promoter should take it.

I hate this one sided loyalty boxers are supposed to have just cuz a promoter signed him. A promoter can fook up your life & money on an L, but for some reason you aren't supposed to capitize on your potential money with a W. Fook that bs. A promoter can promote for a half a century or longer & sign a 100 boxers to promote. A boxer has a decade or less usually to max out his athletic talent & its all about him. A smart boxer should put their max upside above their promoters feelings.

                  True, true.

But the whack-job factor in the run-up to a Teo-Ryan fight would be spectacularly cringe.

And the fighters are the ones getting in the ring with opponents looking to physically damage them. Eddie Hearn never gets his ugly mug busted up for his paymaster.

I defended Teofimo's purse-bid move too when it all happened, but time was wasted for that extra $$$ he made...and it was just a mandatory title defense. Didn't Teo not want to travel to Australia when Triller requested it? I don't remember all the details. Triller gave up, and then Teo had to fight on a MR show. Teo loses and then proceeds to talk shxt about the MR/DAZN....when it was his greed that landed him in the situation. He valued the purse size over every other factor. I think TR is tolerating Teofimo out of necessity, similar to GBP and Garcia. Arum is notorious for staying within a strict budget, whereas Hearn didn't mind throwing around some extra money. In the end, Teo had something negative to say about both parties.
