Anderson would likely blitz Ortiz and suddenly become the next great American heavyweight again
Anderson vs Old Ortiz

And rightly so.
In those hallowed halls, the homes of Usyk, Fury and AJ, there is one name they dare not speak.
The boogeyman, the most feared in the division.
If Anderson dares step up, in my opinion it's greatness confirmed.Comment

That's how I saw it in the Martin and Ruiz fights too. He can still go, but his legs are gone. When Martin dropped him I immediately said "He's lost his legs!" and he even looked confused by getting dropped by that punch.Comment

For what it's worth I thought one of the 3 knockdowns against Ruiz was a push and I actually had Ortiz winning 8 rounds in that fight.
But yeah, it's only going to get worse the more he fights. Old fighters don't magically get their legs back.Comment

You're right, without the phantom knockdown it would have been a draw.Comment

Ortiz won more rounds than ruiz, and I was surprised how he came out for the last round.Last edited by garfios; 04-17-2024, 05:15 PM.Comment

Exactly, ruiz has a way of hitting on the temple not every boxer can hit you like that. He caught Ortiz right on the jaw and nothing happened, now the one on the temple did damage.Last edited by garfios; 04-18-2024, 11:45 AM.Comment
