Fight should be a ticket to land a fight in the oil-rich country if they perform well. Ortiz needs fights ASAP desperately. Clock is ticking for him.

      Good fight though imo
I've been an advocate for Ortiz for years. Always felt that with his skill set coming from the boxing tradition he was raised in, he could get by a little bit on the old side, as long as he didn't become shop worn.

But he's really getting old now. I mean I don't know what the number is but he's got to be up in the 40s or so.

With that said this is a zero sum gain fight for Jared. Ortiz has skills and if you make a mistake he can take you out. I mean if you learn from Ortiz, maybe how to deal with some of his tool kit it could be a good experience.

Winning the fight doesn't do much for Jared. Very risky fight for him to take. I don't know what his people are thinking. Ortiz knows how to go after wounded opposition and if he catches Jared right could be very bad for Jared.

Liston also used the "Cuban Birth Certificate" formula: A + C (10)= R

Where A is actual age C is constant of ten extra years and R is real age.

You have to wonder why Frank Sanchez wanted no part of Luis Ortiz who is a stable mate at PBC. Sanchez cherrypicked total bums, yet didn't have any time for Ortiz.

Very seldom you see Cubans vs Cubans in the pros, on top of that they're avoided like the plague, their not too many of them and most are with the same promotor, so bussines wise is not a good decision, unless they're cashing out. We have Pero vs Bruzon, Tellez vs Navarro, and already scheduled Adlay Rodriguez vs Velazquez. Other than that I haven't see or heard anything about Cubans vs Cubans.

Nah, I don't believe that. Point is when you're running out of bums to cherrypick, you gotta have the conscience to at least take past prime, but capable fighters. Frank never even thought of fighting Charles Marin, for example, and Prince Charles had to cross the street and beg for fights outside of PBC. Lucky for him Jared Anderson welcomed the fight. But not Frank.

You maybe right in this particular case, but a as whole they're not fighting each other as a norm.

The guy is probably or most likely over 50
I don’t see him having problems with Jared but I do see him having problems keeping up
Jared is high output for a heavyweight
