Yes, Haney lost fair and square. But I do not approve weight bullying in general. Not from him, not from Garcia or anyone else for that matter. Ryan was expected to rehydrate to 160 after missing weight. Devin rehydrated to 165 for his fight with Prograis. It's pretty likely Devin weighed as much or more than Ryan in the ring on the night. There's the intangibles about whether or not he felt drained from making weight. But I'm a lot less interested in defending a habitual weight bully who regularly recovers 20+ pounds so he can fight smaller men. YMMV. I don't support weight cutting at all. I think it should be banned, and people should fight at their walking weights.
