I love when canelo exposes what a hypocrite he is. While his fans are too ****** to get it, everyone else does. He says he won’t get credit for the rehydration clause yet is the fighter who implemented the most catchweight and rehydration clauses in history. He complains about benavidez brining too much weight yet says he wants to fight the winner beterbiev vs Bivol when beterbiev fought as a heavyweight as an amateur. He says he won’t fight Crawford because he won’t get credit for fighting a smaller guy, yet is the only guy ever to have 2 guys jump 2 weight classes to face him for a belt. His excuses surface when it’s convenient for him if anyone thinks he wants the winner of beterbiev vs Bivol, you’re smoking crack.

Canelo is telling you straight up, I will do whatever I want, F all of you, my fans (he could have said my idiotic fanboys) will support me.
Which is honestly fine. But please just let go of the belts so others can fight since you won't fight your mandatories. Stop acting like you are "chasing greatness" and admit you want easy fights. Stop acting like you didn't age GGG out, like you didn't beat a bunch of old guys and weight drained guys.
I have zero problem with a Canelo who just drops the bull****. Like saying he wants the Biev-Bivol winner. That is hilarious. Ginger will not go anywhere near a ring with Biev, ever. And he will almost certainly never fight Bivol again. He is making Benavidez into the biggest bogeyman ever by saying this silliness.
Just get your easy money fights in and retire Saul. You have been annoying the **** out of serious boxing fans for a long time with your games and inflated record.Last edited by Theshotyoudontsee; 04-12-2024, 11:50 AM.

By serious you mean ducking, no? Canelo has had two years to fight Benavidez.
Even in this article, he says rehydration clause will not change things because it will be an excuse. Benavidez is literally offering Canelo a way out of ducking him by saying he will accept whatever demands Canelo makes including accepting a paltry $5 million.

If he did actually fight the winner of Beterbiev v Bivol, I would give him a pass. I'd also accept Morrell if it were ordered by WBA by virtue of Morrell having the longest outstanding mandatory claim, or the winner of Opetaia v Briedis. But I don't think he takes any of those fights. If he doesn't, he needs to vacate and retire. If you've got nothing more to prove, hang it up and leave the belts for the guys who still have the hunger.

Canelo still on the duck campaign I see. Just because he fought Lara, GGG, Cotto, etc doesn't mean he's NOT ducking Benavidez. Canelo has never fought or seen anything like him and he sees the threat he represents. Nobody he has ever fought could withstand David Benavidez so "I fought everyone" routine doesn't fly. The closest he ever came was with Bivol and we know what happened there and Bivol is a lighter hitting slower version of Benavidez. This is the clearest duck job I've ever seen since being a boxing fan starting in the early 80's. He is doing a great job shredding his reputation and he'll never outlive the criticism even amongst his own people. In a way if he never fights him he'll have a loss to him.Elastic Recoilz likes this.

How funny would it be if benevidez beats gvozdyk, and by some absolute miracle beats the winner of Bivol-artur,making canelo come crawling for a shot at undisputed in 175.Elastic Recoilz likes this.

If he actually fights Bivol after the Beterbiev fight I'd be impressed but I have a feeling this is just smoke and mirrors.
Despite the fact i think he beats Benavidez comprehensively, he seems completely unwilling there is more than one way to say you don't want a fight.Last edited by Boro; 04-12-2024, 08:46 PM.
