The key word there being IF. That's two things that would need to happen to satisfy the hypothetical scenario you just painted. The reality is Canelo knows he'd be lucky to win 2 rounds max against Bivol again so will not entertain the idea of that fight - Bivol already offered to come down to 168lbs for him and he said no.

So let’s address the hypothetical situation. IF Canelo fights the winner of Beterbiev vs Bivol next are you going to praise him or are you going to find something negative to say about it?

Negative and it would be a valid criticism because he has unfinished business which he is not addressing at 168lbs. Canelo is a guy who jumps from division to division without clearing out all challengers - isn't that the point in moving up in weight? He never did it at 154,160 and is now trying to run away from 168 because there is a guy there who unquestionably is a major threat to him and his undisputed status. And don't be fooled, the only reason he is floating the idea of fighting Bivol and Beterbiev is because he wants a slice of that Saudi money.

The guy would be fighting the unified 175-lb champion and a tougher opponent than Benavidez. But of course you’re going to be negative, that’s what haters do.

I have pity for you at this moment in time. I understand at one point Canelo was one of your favourite if not your favourite fighter but what you have now opted to do is align yourself alongside him REGARDLESS of all the BS he has been pulling recently. There are probably only about 5 of you hardcore Canelo defenders left on here, the wise ones have rightly deserted him. The lengths you guys go to, the constant deflections, talk of resumes and hypothetical situations you bring up are so blatantly a knee-jerk response to when somebody drops those truth bombs and you have nothing else to counter back with.

If you want to label it as "hate" fair enough but I imagine with all his antics in the last 2-3 years Canelo must've generated significantly more "haters" than your average fighter and its his own fault for constantly making excuses and contradicting himself.

If he fights the winner of Beterbiev-Bivol next then absolutely no one should have a problem with that.

I pity you that you are so emotionally invested in hating the guy that you can’t even acknowledge a great potential fight.

what like a great potential fight against Usyk at a 200lbs catchweight? That's all it is right now, a hypothetical fight. where we're currently at as him ducking Benny and fighting a chinny, wide open Munguia who has had only had 2 fights at 168lbs.

Oh it ends easily. Fight the biggest more relevant opponent in your own division. Simple. You could argue Bivol is better than Benavidez but he is indisputably not as dangerous, and that is why Canelo would prefer that fight any day of the week. He will look for any angle to avoid David. He did it last time when he chose Bivol and will likely try again and steal Davids fight at 175.

Canelo has already ducked Benavidez blatantly twice by fighting Mungia, and Charlo. He then basically said he won't fight Benavidez ever period by asking for fantasy money, and that is before any conversation of Bivol/Beterbiev.

You are fabricating a false narrative where Canelo is chosing Bivol/Beterviev instead of Benavidez. It does not work before Canelo has ALREADY rejected the Benavidez fight. Understand?

The only emotionally invested person is you by still trying desperately to contort yourself in ways to defend the duck of the century.
