Mares fouled the shit out of Joseph Agbeko in their fight concentrating mostly on low blows and I believe Lawrence Cole was the ref, he just let it happen.

Stick to this and stop backtracking.
By your guestimation, you said 5 clinches a round, which is 60 holds over 12 rounds for Holdweather.
That's an awful lot of holding there.Last edited by djtmal; 04-09-2024, 04:06 PM.

That is excessive holding.
It's all on audio/video. Boxing fans/critics all over the world criticized Floyd Mayweather for excessive holding, but you the caped crusader is gonna rescue him with your guestimated clinchstats

I said it was probably like 5 times a round on average if I had to guess, because I know it's low because he didn't hold often in that fight. Key words being "Probably" and "Guess". Turns out it was actually much less than I'd guessed.
Anyway, I've rewatched the fight and here are the numbers for clinches;
Round 1 - 1
Round 2 - 4
Round 3 - 4
Round 4 - 1
Round 5 - 3
Round 6 - 3
Round 7 - 2
Round 8 - 0
Round 9 - 2
Round 10 - 1
Round 11 - 1
Round 12 - 2
Total - 24
Average - 2 times per round
So in this fight Mayweather held a total of 24 times for an average of 2 times per round. That is objectively not excessive clinching it's actually the opposite of excessive clinching.

What critic criticized Floyd for holding in that fight?

Lol. You say Floyd Mayweather is guilty of something, and it gets these Floyd boys full attention.
Just had to rescue your boy.
Took it to the videotape
Now do the same thing for the other fights/fighters mentioned.Last edited by djtmal; 04-09-2024, 04:33 PM.

Which fight should I do? Wlad-Povektin? Because that was a fight with overt excessive clinching.
