I doubt it happen. Madrimov probably beats him.

hype based on what? fighting once a year vs nobodies the last 2 years? The bs people spew. He is a literal nobody. He doesn't even speak english.

He won a belt at 154 a month ago.

If somebody must ask here "who the f.uck is this guy", than yeah, that is beyond casual for me.

No. Nobody cares about Crawford beating Boots for the belt he already had.

Fighting a champ at 154 is clearly the bigger challenge.

If TC keeps winning and winning he will exponentially build is star power regardless of anything. So not fighting is just a lack of confidence and a case of protecting the 0 and the marketability of off that.

He debuted with the alias back in 2018 as far as I recall, certainly he was using it in his second fight. At that time Haney was still a young blue chip who'd fought no one of note and wasn't known at all outside of the more dedicated fans.

I mean fair enough you may not be impressed by Madrimov or have been paying attention to him but I think this is probably just a case of coincidence.

Oh yeah, just for the record - prospect focus thread I did for Madrimov back in 2020. Did em for a few others too, Brownie, Ajagba, coupla others. Wish I'd kept on with it TBH but I kinda ran out of steam. Too busy with the Pick Em back then anyway.

My mind he's the most naturally talented of the last tranche of Eurasian ammys who turned pro in the later 2010s. Good to watch him develop and tighten up some of his sloppier habits over the last few years. Don't think he'll beat even a slightly faded Crawford but it certainly ain't outside the realms of possibility. He's a very good fighter.

Well I think that's one of the toughest fights you could ask Crawford to take as his 1st fight at 154.

Whatever the hypes based on, the point is its been there to an extent that someone that watches boxing regularly should have heard of him. Definitely not a nobody.

Are you serious? You still need to demonstrate the hype is actually real, you can't just claim it is because you say so. Explain how an eastern euro fighter who doesn't speak english, with 11 fights, fighting once a year for the last 2 years, and not a single significant fight has hype.
