We are in an economic crisis worldwide; fighters need to quit these ridiculous demands for many millions and start taking a percentage of the profits; that way, everybody gets paid, and the show goes on; the more popular you are, the more you will sell.Comment

Unfortunately not many fighters are deserving of ppv but this is the road they chose and that won’t change unless something drastic hitsComment

Part of the problem is most hardcore fans have been waiting for it to be canceled cuz of Ryan more than they've been waiting for fight night & the other part of the problem is they took two Cali mfers & put them in a NY venue for some reason.Comment

It has got to change for the sport as a whole It has been elitist forever and in today's market it can't support itself so the gap between the elite and the rest widens, its all got to be based around as cheap a viewing as can be possible to draw numbers, right down to as low as $10 for a Wilson vs Valdez type fight the fighters have a guaranteed bottom and every thing over that is theirs, if fans like a fighter they buy and the fighter gets exposure and grows, you want people to follow the sport you have to draw them in.
Times have changed and boxing needs to wise up to the fact it needs a different business model, and marketing strategy looking at the sport overall, not just the handful that get it all while the rest filter down to crumbs. PPV over the internet with prices ranging from 5/10 bucks up, an account pay your coin and watch live in high quality, most people pirate because the prices are way over the top, some will still pirate if it was a dollar, but 90 will buy the better quality, the powers to be in boxing are thinking greedy instead, they need to be growing the sport as a whole. As a kid I always remember an add for KD used cars, guy had acres of them for 2k what everybody else wanted 4k, his lots were full of people every day while all the others had a few tyre kickers, its the same deal and will always apply cheap tickets sell and grow numbers.
The Saudis splashing the cash doesn't help the sport its actually going to divide it further.Comment
