Great point. I am not a big UFC fan, but I received a spam from them for a yearly subscription for like 12 bucks an bought it immediately.

I only watched a handful of fights, but it was still worth it. High quality, full archive of cards, etc.

Right. I can simply click on Jon Jones profile, for example, and watch all of his fights in a row in HQ.

Not sure if I can do the same for Haney.

          that’s the biggest problem

Ryan isn’t big there and Haney isn’t big anywhere
Which is a very true statement because there are hardly any Mexicans currently residing in NYC. The Latino population there are mostly comprised of Puerto Ricans and Dominicans.

Cryan is a dumbass mental midget that doesn't deserve any kind of title shots and Stainey is too boring and too ugly to sell tickets.

              Just checked out the undercard.

              Nothing of interest for me.
              It straight up sucks.

One thing is that they should not had done that fight in NY, second is the threat of Garcia not able to make it to fight night. Why pay top dollar for a main event that so many have rumored that it might night happen.

F@gg0ts like el racist and ****totaler kept telling us that Ryan was the reason the Tank/ Garcia fight sold.

Don’t look like he is selling anything without Tank. Guess he is just a b side after all.

Fight should’ve been in Vegas or Cali imo.

It has got to change for the sport as a whole It has been elitist forever and in today's market it can't support itself so the gap between the elite and the rest widens, its all got to be based around as cheap a viewing as can be possible to draw numbers, right down to as low as $10 for a Wilson vs Valdez type fight the fighters have a guaranteed bottom and every thing over that is theirs, if fans like a fighter they buy and the fighter gets exposure and grows, you want people to follow the sport you have to draw them in.

Times have changed and boxing needs to wise up to the fact it needs a different business model, and marketing strategy looking at the sport overall, not just the handful that get it all while the rest filter down to crumbs. PPV over the internet with prices ranging from 5/10 bucks up, an account pay your coin and watch live in high quality, most people pirate because the prices are way over the top, some will still pirate if it was a dollar, but 90 will buy the better quality, the powers to be in boxing are thinking greedy instead, they need to be growing the sport as a whole. As a kid I always remember an add for KD used cars, guy had acres of them for 2k what everybody else wanted 4k, his lots were full of people every day while all the others had a few tyre kickers, its the same deal and will always apply cheap tickets sell and grow numbers.

The Saudis splashing the cash doesn't help the sport its actually going to divide it further.
I completely agree with Boxing needing to change its PPV model, but the prices seem to only go in one direction. IDK if it was Ellerbe who said it, but the powers that be don't want to decrease the price because it makes them look weak. Nobody wants to be the one to decrease their PPV pricing, so instead it just keeps increasing. The pool of paying customers will continue to shrink, and that consumer base will continue to get gouged until the bubble bursts completely. PPVs should only be for the cash-cows/the elite/best match-ups...if $70-80 is what boxing wants to charge for PPV. Fans would be more flexible if the business model was more flexible. I was hoping PBC's agreement with Amazon would lead to a drastic change in their PPV model.

I think the Saudis should be perceived as glorified sponsors. They shouldn't be expected to change boxing's business infrastructure (not sure if any one entity can do that), just dealing with it as it is. Fighters want to be paid a certain amount, ok here you go. If you're not interested in that amount, then find it somewhere else. I think it's that simple. Matchroom and Queensberry are currently the beneficiaries of the Saudi involvement, but I don't think that's permanent. As a boxing fan and a potential customer, I'm just glad fights are happening.
