But Lopez has been babied. They did NOT baby Cotto like this, it's strange.
Cotto and Pavlik earned their stripes, and they were thrown to the wolves early on, but today's TR prospects are treated like little girls.

Soto (and that's sad because Soto is good).
      Chavez Jr.
      They used to baby Cotto
      Juan Ma Lopez obviously
Nonito Donaire up to an extent
They've put Pacman in some easy fights along with the hard ones.
      John Duddy
Tye Fields until he got exposed
Kelly Pavlik (Arum thought Hopkins was an automatic win) along with Pavlik's other easy title defenses.

How about almost everybody outside of Paquaio, Pavlik, Clottey, Cotto, and Margarito. Guys like Lopez, Gamboa, and Chavez jr are three prime examples.

Yeah especially that Cotto dude. Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey and now Pacman, talk about hand picked opposition.

I figured you were going to question me about him. Lol. Come on man, you didn't see of how paranoid Arum got after he nearly got beat by Torres. Arum put Cotto in with a line of feather fisted punchers after that like Malinaggi, Branco, Urkal, and Gomez. And Zab Judah was kind of an opportunistic choice of opponent even though he was still considered as a threat to Cotto. Granted, he didn't fight all those guys consecutively, but that is what you call babying a fighter.

Gamboa signed with Top Rank a few months ago. I think is too soon to say they are babying him. Lopez I agreed is not fighting top guys yet but he faced some good fighters. Chabvz Jr is the worst the always faces bums.

Top Rank are excellent at raising fighters. De La Hoya, Mayweather and Cotto, for examples.

So great of you to bring a portion of Cotto's career when he was having problems making 140 and all those guys were quality fighters (Malignaggi beat your boy Diaz). BTW Gomez? How does that go with babying? That was to set up a fight with Margarito you dumb ass.

                      You have to be kidding.

seriously man, when it comes to Cotto, I don't know if you really don't like him or if you're just misinformed, but you are always wrong.

In Cotto's 14th fight he fought Cesar Bezan for gods sake.

At 140 he fought Bezan, John Brown even earlier than that, who isn't good but is tough as nails. Maussa, Sosa, Pinto, N'Dou, Bailey, Corley, Torres, Abdulaev, Malignaggi.

That is not babying a fighter, that is bringing up a fighter how you SHOULD bring up a fighter. Who cares if they're punchers, are you serious? So if they arent punchers they aren't threats?

And than his resume at WW is as solid as they come.

Cotto was in no way babied. End of story.
