Well, he's better than Rolly, so at least that's an improvement in quality of "WBA champion". Not a real champ until he defends against Barroso in my book though.
The kids is blowing up on social media but come on.... he beat Rolly Romero.
Whoever advised Romero to fight Cruz instead of Garcia should be shot.
He did an amazing job against prime Davis, Cruz was 22 years old, fighting with 2 weeks of training, Davis and Cruz landed the same amount of punches, the fight was too close.
he showed a great defense too.
And the kid is 25 and
The lame excuse of Davis injury did not work.
Cruz still improving... yes, he can get a L against other champions but he can get a W.
If Kambosos won against Teo, Cruz is better than Kambosos, ...

Funny when an obviously biased fan such as yourself wants to call it a lame injury excuse, but meanwhile Pitbull himself is quoted as saying “It was right around the fifth round I saw that his hand wasn't working correctly," Cruz said through an interpreter.”
Even if Cruz didn’t say that, it doesn’t take a genius to see that Tanks hand was injured and he primarily relied on his right hand for the vast majority of the fight.
Entertaining fighter but I have a hard time seeing him beat any of the other belt holders at 140. Don't see him beating Davis in a rematch either. He's basically keeping the belt warm until Tank wants it.
I thought he lost his fight with Giovanni Cabrera, and Cabrera actually demonstrated how to avoid the Pitbull's bite. Which probably gave Romero confidence in taking the fight.
