Both guys can now prepare properly for the other.

Hopefully, that doesn’t make the rematch suck. Tim wins then do a 3rd one.

Spence and Crawford have plenty of other realistic options.

Crawford could fight JMW Charlo for his belt or the vacant IBF belt. Haymon has immense sway with the WBA so Spence can fight for the vacant belt.

The WBA isn't vacant, Israil Madrimov has it.

And the IBF vacancy is already scheduled to be filled by Murtazaliev vs Culcay.

Don't you wanna see how winner Fundora fares with other fighters like Crawford or Spence. Or how Crawford or Spence fares with Fundora? When will fans ever see these alternative matchups? Maybe never because a lot of things can happen in a year's time. Heck we don't even know what will happen tomorrow, let alone weeks, months, years.

You're like my grandpa who wants to see varieties, not rematches.
Well, he's old and wants to see his favorite fighters fight all types of fighters.
He's even jokingly saying he doesn't want to end up like Joe Frazier who didn't live to see the May/Pac fight.
He hates it when fights worth making take time to happen. He says he's not a cat with nine lives to live.

But you're right. A lot of things can happen in a short period of time. Fights that are hot today may no longer be in about a few months.
Like fighters getting injured, personal/family issues come up, new fighter is making waves, etc.
If none of these fights, Spence/Crawford vs Fundora, happen now, they'll never happen any time in the future.

And for the record I don't think much of Tszyu - I was picking Thurman to beat him.

I mean Tszyu saved PBC's ass by taking the fight - if he had said "I'm not fighting Fundora on two weeks notice" the entire event gets cancelled. They should do right by him and give him the rematch... the winner will fight Spence or Crawford.

This is not true, there was no illegal elbow. Tszyu ran head first into Fundora's elbow when Fundora wasn't even throwing a punch. The cut was 100% Tszyu's fault.

Both Spence and Crawford would be licking their lips watching Fundora get the belt. Either of those guys would take it in a heartbeat unless there was a higher purse fight on the table.

Fundora no longer available in 2024 for either fighter since Fundora is not allowed to fight till September and his manager already changed his mind and wants to do a rematch with Tszyu.

Spence/Bud will have to find new opponents.
