So there should be different criteria within a fight to determine who wins? Shouldn't both fighters enter a given fight with the same requirements to win? Based on that bolded statement you appear to feel otherwise.
Why should the challenger not be able to win a fight in the same way a champion is allowed to win? Once the bell rings there shouldn't be a difference between who was the champ coming in and who was the challenger. Both men are on equal footing (no benefit given to one or the other by the judges) and both deserve a fair and equal path towards victory.
