You are absolutely right and I agree. However, the cut was not caused by a legal punch..In addition, they could have easily stopped it much later too because one judge had Tim Tszyu winning the fight as the fight was so razor thin close.
Moreover,,chances are Tim Tszyu could have easily won the fight on the scorecards had they opted to stop the fight due to that cut.Comment

Ironically enough was been said about the unique challenges that represent fighting Fundora and we just saw one of those many tonight. His elbow are so high that that better watch out before lining toward him.Comment

No it's the referee's decision to determine whether or not a cut was caused by punch or an accidental headbutt. If the fight was caused by a foul; So after three rounds has been completed then the fight would have been ruled no contest.Comment

Wrong! That is absolutely untrue. Not if the injury was caused by a foul.
It's the referee's discretion to determine whether or not a cut was caused by a punch or from an accidental clash of heads or a headbutt.
I am certain that,Harvey Dock made Team Tszyu aware of the situation that the cut was not caused by a punch but by an accidental elbow..Comment

The ref determines the cause, while the doctor determines the severity of the injury...right? So who's ultimately in charge of halting the contest? The ref, doctor or the corner?Comment

the ref can only stop a fight on his own via DQ, TKO, or if he thinks a fighter isn't defending himselfComment
