And yes his resume is weak as water compared to the last era.Last edited by Roadblock; 03-30-2024, 04:30 PM.

Crawford resume is bad for being who he’s supposed to be. He missed out on a lot of fights that would’ve made his resume alot stronger and a bigger star. He jumped up in weight at the wrong times and/or a lot of the meaningful fights were PBC guys
-Mikey Garcia
-Undefeated Broner
-Prime Thurman
-Prime Amir Khan
-Pacquaio
-Tim Bradley
-Brandon Rios
-Prime Danny Garcia
-Matthyse
-Prime Kell Brook
He could’ve even chased greatness at 154 earlier on in risky fights but would’ve enhanced his legacy. Imagine if he had Golovkin on his resume.
He really missed a lot of fights early in his career and now he’s trying to play catch up but it’s too late because there aren’t really many meaningful fights to compare with Mayweather, Sugar Ray, Hagler, Pernell, Oscar etc. His best chance would be to jump to 168 and challenge David Benavidez then Canelo which doesn’t seem realistic

For his reputation and his achievements, yes his resume is very poor.
His manager or whoever was talking about him nearing "greatest ever" status, when that just couldn't be any further from the truth.
Would you back Shane Mosley to go through his resume unbeaten? Miguel Cotto? Because I certainly would, and those two aren't in the greatest ever discussion at all. Shane Mosley would have sent post car crash Errol home on a stretcher
Neither should Crawford be, he's not clearly the P4P #1, Inoue and Usyk have equal claims to that, but of course The ring magazine have north American bias so Crawford is #1 by default.
I'm a fan of Crawford, I enjoy his style, I think you'd struggle to find anyone to beat him now, and I think he competes in any era at a very high level.
But that doesn't mean I'm going to blow smoke up anyone's ass and claim Crawford has a good resume.
