I honestly thought liam was on his way to winning then Valdez switched it up got inside and ****** away.

That's the style that worked best for Valdez in the past, pressure his way to the pocket and land high output combination if you see his fights with Ruedas, Servania and Quigg.

It obvious it had it's own risks obviously, but it was more affective to win rounds than backpedaling being open to getting damaged and throwing low output punches at range which is just not as impactful nor as precise. He isn't a one punch knockout fighter either.

Not saying he should stop using his current style, but he should mix them up based on who he is fighting. A rangy fighter wasn't a smart idea to do it with nor with a pure boxer like Coincecao.

It's ridiculously obvious that taking a knee would've been the smart thing to do. Take the count, compose yourself, get up, and get to the end of the round. Instead he just stood there and let Valdez unload on him with unanswered combinations which forced the stoppage.

Fun fight, solid card, was glad to be there. Main event kinda went as expected for me, Wilson can come again. Head home and fight a guy like Nathaniel May to get his feet back under him and then try at world level again.

Valdez showed he's still the same guy he's been. Power and toughness are still there, outcome just depends on what range the match is fought at. Inside or mid distance and Oscar is gonna land and land hard, if you keep it at long range he has no chance.

Really hope Albert Bell doesn't get mandated for that belt, because that has boring, predictable UD for Bell written all over it. I hope Valdez just chases high action fights and good stylistic matchups the rest of his career. Looking at the WBOs top 15, guys like Kenichi Ogawa, Andres Cortes and Mark Magsayo would make for really fun fights

Wilson needed to maintain long-range to have a chance, but that Navarrete fight may have tricked him into believing that he's some big puncher. Valdez is the smaller fighter, but is definitely the better puncher.

I think Wilson began exchanging with Valdez because he thought that almost KO'ing Navarrete meant that he could also stop Valdez too. Wilson is just not a big puncher, he was operating at a distance that favored Valdez, and he doesn't have good defense. These factors led to his demise. Unlike Shakur and Navarrete, Wilson did not present a difficult puzzle for Valdez to solve.

Great fight and I was sip happy for Valdez. Liam almost had him out of there with that Jody attack and low blows but Valdez gutted it out.

also Yokasta Valle was robbed, that was sick. Estrada was outlander an missed all night and the broadcast was terrible, it didn’t credit any of Yokastas defense or offense.
