Casuals tend to have selective memory. The idea that any fighter suffers a first loss they need to fire their coach is ludicrous.
Imagine Bud getting beat by Boots then he fires Bomac.
Or, Tank getting beat by Martin then he fires his coach.
Or Haney firing his dad after getting beat by Garcia.
Look at how great that worked for Hatton or Khan. There are those rare cases where switching trainers aren’t related to just losses but one’s style of fighting. Wladimir switching to Steward was great for his career.
PAC to Roach had so many layers behind it too.

Or some top guys, like Fishnets, move through trainers at different stages of their careers.

First, styles make fights, trainers can't change a puncher they can only add to, or enhance his style. The split is not in the gym it's about finances.... and a solid case can be made either way. A shyt situation made worse by attention whores and their ignorant opinions for likes and subscribes.

You act like James is perfect and absolutely blameless. Even Bud pointed out the poor corner instructions between rounds after re-watching the fight.
Errol obviously wants to improve and feels he's reached his ceiling with James and he's not wrong.Last edited by Gary Coleman; 03-27-2024, 11:30 AM.

I think that history will regard the career of Errol Spence as one of wasted time and squandered opportunity. Errols biggest problem is that he doesn't live like a world class , elite athlete. To be great at this hardest of sports , it takes a 24/7 , 365 commitment. Not everyone has the type of discipline necessary to do that. It's not easy.

On the other side, Crawford basically always looks like he could make weight on the upcoming friday.
