I mean idk if Joyce takes anyone THAT seriously is one of the issues I had with him before he took an L. The fact he was primarily 260ish max his whole career til these last few fights (his 3 highest weights are in his last 4 fights) isn't a good sign he's taking sh^t seriously.
My theory: Zhang outweighed Joyce and was able to hurt him in the first fight, so Joyce assumed that putting on more mass would increase his durability. Clearly, it didn't work. Now, potentially due to confidence + discipline issues, he's decided not to take the extra weight off. He outweighed Ali by 48 fuxking pounds yesterday.

Maybe. But its a fact he weighed his heaviest, at the time, the fight before Zhang. Got in shape for Zhang. Then weighed his heaviest in the rematch. And now weighed his heaviest again lol.
Thats a bad trend & it started pre-Zhang, then continued after his nasty 0 losing fight. I think dude has had a foot outta the sport before we got to here.
Whatever is happening or has happened I think Joyce is just cashing checks here on out & the unlikely trajectory to a belt/#1 he was on has gone completely off the rails.
Joyce is garbage, any top HW will clown him. He just went 10 rounds with Kash Ali, who is barely good enough to win a southern area title.
Joyce should retire, he’s getting slower and bigger. AgaInst anyone decent he’s a heavy bag on legs.
Physically yea, business-wise nah. Theres still some 6 digit checks for him to collect & probably a 7 digit one if he can find himself a good Saudi opp or he gets another big fight.
Joyce is washed imo, I think Parker would beat him in a rematch and probably Dubois too, I wonder if Frank will push to make that one. What happened to Hughie, did he retire? I'd be curious to see if he could box around Joyce for 10 rounds. Del Boy, Yoka and Helenius are all fights I'd like to see, even Wach or Kuzmin. Joyce vs Big Baby Miller would still be epic

In the five month span between Zhang 1 and 2, he gained 25lbs. That's a lot of weight for a guy who's already throwing punches like he's underwater. He has taken the "Juggernaut" nickname too literal. Discipline/focus seems to be a prevailing issue in this division.
I can`t see how Usyk beats Joyce. Joyce is no joke. he is not a quitter like Dubois. Joyce will not just quit after taking some shots by a cruiserweight. Joyce will just walk through his punches and walk Usyk down.
Does this even make any kind of sense ?
Does Usyk beat Joyce or does Joyce have all him down ?
Seeing JJ yesterday , I’d say his best days are gone and anyone with any kind of boxing skills can beat him pretty regularly
The overweight don’t help his quickness at all , this being already a slow man

I was thinking that myself. Hadn't thought about DDD, but I wouldn't disagree with you.
Last I heard of Hughie he had long covid issues. I think hes had a comprised immune system forever & I think those types are more at risk for long covid issues.
