That's what I've been saying since he got involved in that alcohol-related incident a few years ago. Drinking just kills the body, let alone the mind. Taylor is finished.

Catterall is an idiot for getting ****** into this. Just move on. I’ve been saying this for nearly 2 years now.
The only other reasonable option was to face Hitchens in an eliminator, which is a fraction of the money and exposure that a Taylor rematch would get him.

He should’ve fought in an eliminator 18 months ago, but he sat round waiting for Taylor, and here he is making the same mistake again.

I’m a Catterall fan, have been for years, but I’ve git no sympathy for him here, he’s 30+ and his best accomplishment is a British title, for a lad of his talent that’s a travesty, but instead of chasing titles he’s chasing paydays.

Alcohol slows down the body's recovery from injuries. Taylor's brought this on himself to a degree, he hasn't lived the life.

As soon as he heard that MR was trying to sign Matias, he should've tried to jump in front of the line to fight him. Nobody wants to face Matias, and he could've won so much good-will with that one decision. Take the short money and beat Matias, now you have the IBF title and an increase in bargaining power. But he'll continue to wait for that $$$ fight with Taylor to his own detriment.

Taylor is like 140 lb Tyson Fury in terms of killing fights. Amazing how far he's fallen in just a few years.

                  You think rematch won't happen?

                  I brought tickets for it.

If he tore his Plantar Fascia, I doubt Taylor will be ready for a fight in May!
