So a dude with not a single fight goes against 2 of the top 3 hw boxers. Gets ko’d n does great for a split dec loss. Idk I feel it shows mma can hang better in boxing than the other way around. I don’t care about mixing it up from different sports but honestly boxing reporters and fans have seemed to use the crossover fights to somehow make themselves feel better about the sport. Hope I explained my thoughts right.

Dana doesn't want this to continue for other reasons: UFC is an organization for beggars when it comes to salaries. Fighters are practically banned for what they can promote. On top of everything, UFC treats some like golden chickens, while others as a filling. It lost its credibility long ago and the level of fighters isn't the same anymore. And if the MMA fighters continue to pursue some boxing career, they might as well end up not being MMA fighters anymore for the sole reason of the money they'll earn.

Ngannou can comfort himself with the millions he made. Life changing wealth. He would do it all over again for that kind of cash.

MMA fighters will continue to be willing to get their ass kicked by boxers, as long as they can get paid that boxing money.

This article is silly and so is the whole “That’s why crossover fights shouldn’t be allowed” argument. Plenty of trained, experienced “real boxers” have gotten knocked out just as badly if not worse than Ngannou did against Joshua - if you need a refresher, look at Amir Khan, a world champion-level boxer, against Canelo. This distracts from the real point, which is the reason crossover fights happened was because “real boxers” weren’t fighting each other and people were becoming bored with traditional boxing. Plus, any article that takes Dana White - a guy caught on video
slapping his wife - seriously is suspect from the start.
