The only people who seem to want to see these fights happen are these little geeked out suburbanite nerds who eat, sleep, and drink ufc and talk about “real street fights” while attacking boxing…oh and of course the mma fighters themselves who make so much less than boxing elite

And lets be real. Its not all mma guys losing. Vitor Belfort destroyed Evander Holyfield. Anthony Pettis beat RJJ. Jose Aldo just started boxing & is winning fights. Cyborg is winning fights & seems to be trying to line up a fight with Shields. Who knows what happens with Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul.

Are you for real? That's not a fair comparison at all. Evander Holyfield and Roy Jones are senior citizens of the boxing world. They are not even remotely close to current, active world class boxers. That's no different than saying if Jake Paul KOs Mike Tyson it makes him a legitimate contender.

I didn't bring up "legitimate contenders" or fake or fringe contender for that matter, first off.

Pettis & Befort never even had a pro boxing match at all & both beat HOF guys in fight #1. Hell a lot of ppl had Ngannou beating a future HOFer in his first fight before he sh^t the bed in fight #2. Acting like these mma guys are fish food vs guys at or above their level 100% of the time is a ridiculous take. Thats all I was trying to suggest. Nitpick W's all you want, but their still W's over boxers. And plenty of mma guys are beating more experienced boxers on lower levels of the sport ppl don't talk about typically.

All this sh^t is first & foremost about making money, like all the other big fights we watch without non-boxers. And its all about getting fans attention & like it or not non-boxers coming into boxing attracts viewers. Boxing fans are invested in the boxer winning. Mma fans or youtube guys are invested in their guy winning. And some ppl who rarely or never watch boxing are infested in the freak show or entertainment value of the clashing of worlds.

This sh^t always has been & will continue to be about bringing value to boxing on a case by case basis. And with Suga Sean just having the highest non-McGregor gate in UFC history its not far fetched that Devin, Ryan, Shakur or Tank vs Suga Sean might be the biggest fight of the year in a year or two like Floyd vs Conor was several yrs back.
