He learned his lesson from Andy Ruiz. He’s a different fighter who takes even lower level fighter very serious now. He doesn’t overlook his opponents anymore. The way he beat Pulev, Franklin, Helenius, Wallin and Ngannu are a product of his focus and no longer overlooking opponents.

I know he lost to Usyk twice but that’s because Usyk is greater than him.

I absolutely give AJ a much better chance at beating Fury now than I did a year or two ago. You could see my posts from the past not giving AJ a chance in hell. But now I admit he’s shown a lot of improvement and focus. He has a really good shot. I would still pick Fury over Joshua. But he went from now chance, to very live underdog and pretty much I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls off the upset.

If Ben was such a great Trainer Lara would not have decapitated Wood. Wood was losing vs Warrington before he stopped Warrington. The only thing Ben is good is at feints. Remember Fury vs Wilder 1, Fury was fainting all night. Francis just go fainted by AJ to the body and came up on top with the over hand right. That's why AJ focos the jab to the body in the beginning of the fight to get Francis to expect that.

Ridiculous comment. All the GOAT trainers fighters have bad losses, I'll assume you're trolling for your sake.

How this Otto/Francis version of AJ works out vs Fury or Usyk a third time is a whole other topic cuz those guys are on a whole other level than AJs last 4 opps. I think those fans who are acting like AJ flat lines those two dksab or just prone to extremes like many fans are.
Exactly this. The needless hating the internet brings out of people is boring...

Joshua clearly on a better path now... Excited to see how it works Vs better opposition. What's not to like about that?

          Dubois or Hrgovic be good.

I'd have to pick AJ over fury right now but only because I think Fury is physically finished unless he proves otherwise.

Vs Usyk for a 3rd time, well I've ALWAYS felt that AJ has the tools required to beat Usyk, but I realise that's a hard sell.

I personally belive Usyk got AJ at the best time, when he was between styles and unsure of himself, there was no better time to fight him

The approach AJ took in those fights was poor, he was trying to match Usyk for activity when he should have held center ring, used his physicality and picked his shots.

Recently in his last 2 fights Ben Davidson has AJ actually clinching properly, he controlled Ngannou in the clinch which was ****ing impressive, additionally in both fights he's been confident and controlled, not jumping at shadows.

In a 3rd fight with usyk it could all come undone again for sure, but for me, the last fight between the 2 was an 8-4 fight, with usyk taking over down the stretch because AJ wasted a lot of energy and gassed out.

He rushed into the rematch with Robert Garcia in the role of mercenary trainer who had no ideas on what to do vs Usyk.

Poor form, poor mindset and poor strategy, AJ got everything wrong both times against Usyk, it's his own fault but there it is.

I do think AJ can do better, enough better to win? I'm not sure but I wouldn't be that shocked. Especially as Usyk is getting older. He's 37 now with grey hair

Wood completely outboxed and frustrated Lara in the rematch. Odd that you would mention one fight and not the other.

...and Wood was doing well in the first fight before he decided to trade hooks with a hooker. Ben also saved Wood from a potentially nasty KO.

You must have missed it because Ben brought Leigh Wood back to demoralized Lara, a one sided boxing clinic... and then Wood fainted Warrington into a 6 punch brain scrambler.

Lee Wylie and his film study of past boxing greats should get more of the credit.
