Those were some sorry times to be a boxing fan, i started being a hardcore around this time. Ishe Smith, Bundage. Carlos Molina. It only got worse with Lara taking the division hostage in the coming years to treat us all with title defences against the likes of Delvin Rodriguez, Jan Zerbek and a literally crippled Rabbi in Yuri Foreman

He'll always have that under his belt. No pun intended. God Bless.
Becoming a professional boxer is not the end all be all

I love boxing and respect boxers worthy of respect.
No one is above being criticized

You're right. But it's the fact whether the criticism actually has some merit towards the standard. Only people whose criticism has some merit are your contemporaries in your field. The criticism from anybody that doesn't do what you do at your level doesn't matter. If you can do better, then you have merit to criticize and judge. Other than that, it don't mean ish. To say "respect boxers worthy of respect" means you don't respect all boxers which is the basis of where your critcism comes from. All boxers deserve respect just on the fact that they get in the ring bc it takes real guts and heart to get in there and fight regardless of skill level and accomplishments. Simple as that.

I don't respect all boxers, directors, actors, singers, mechanics, doctors, relatives....need I go on ?!?!?!?

            There are -
            Dirty Fighters
            Bullies
            Unproven Boogeymen
            Weight Drainers
            And Legit Bums

None of which deserve praise from me.
I must refer to terrible movies and singers.
I can say with 100000% certainty you criticize movies and singers who are abysmal.
            Do you do either ?
Doubtful (show and prove if you do).

            Stop putting boxers on pedestals.

Ain't nobody putting nothing on pedestals. Whether movies or singers(or boxers for that matter) are terrible is all subjective. Just bc your feelings about something are ultimate to YOU doesn't mean it should apply to everyone. You can not like something but still acknowledge it from an objective standpoint. Everybody has their opinions, but that's all it is in the end. The fact that these folks reach the top of their fields regardless of what level they are in their field is an accomplishment in it's own. All I'm saying.

                Like I said
                Ain't no one above criticism.
And 95% of my criticism will be earned.
On rare occasions, my feelings will get the better of me.
                Not the case here.
