I've said it before, Francis was in for a rude awakening! The levels are different! Fury took him for granted and paid for it. AJ's stock just went up again. A lot of fans that didn't know knew him now. Still happy for Ngannou making that big pay!

Cong**** to AJ on preparing and doing exactly what I thought he would, crush an MMA fighter. I have said it for years, the guy to give Fury big problems is a healthy and confident Joshua. didn't now if he could come back from the Ruiz shocker and that concussion, but it appears he has regained something of his former self.
IMO he is the only real threat to Fury, because he hits very very hard, he is a good boxer and he is physically very strong, Fury will not be able to bully him.
That said, anyone not understanding that Fury barely trained for Ngannou thinking it was an easy payday, and thinking that this fight means AJ beats Fury now....I wouldn't put money on it. Fury has a tendency to fight to the level of his comp. The best guys bring out the best in Fury.
Hoping Fury take Usyk out and we get that fight. I for one don't want to see AJ Usyk 3. Been an Usyk fan for years, but he is boring at HW.

Nicely done by AJ. Fury flattered both Wallin and Ngannou, had people genuinely think they were top fighters because he struggled badly with both but AJ's come along and made them look like complete ****. Other than Wlad who Fury hugged to death for 12 rounds and Wilder who can't box for ****, Fury's 'generational' bull**** is looking more and more like one of the most overrated and overhyped fighters in generations. Fury's always had an excuse as to why he won't fight AJ and it's becoming clear why.
The best thing about this is it finally shuts up those MMA fans and 'experts' who all seemed to have Ngannou as a sure thing in this fight based off his beatdown of Fury in his boxing debut. AJ showed what a top fighter should do to an MMA guy stepping into the ring for the first time. Ngannou is a tough guy, an absolute beast with a lot of heart but this isn't his sport so there's no shame in his loss.
I have no idea what happens between Fury and Usyk (I'm not even convinced that Fury goes ahead with it). Fury has a tendency of proving me wrong, I didn't think he'd beat Wlad or Wilder and he proved me wrong and I thought he'd make easy work of McDermott, Cunningham, Wallin and Ngannou and he also proved me wrong by arguably losing some of those fights.
It's a poor heavyweight era but the dynamics are really interesting. It's seeming like Usyk and AJ are the top 2 but this could easily change again.Last edited by 786; 03-09-2024, 12:23 AM.dannnnn likes this.

Fury is not a 1 punch fight ender.
He needs punches to land behind the head, lean down on the guy and then be allowed to push a guy to the canvas.
I'd put money on Del Bum > Francis.
I'd suppose that other bum Whyte would also give Franny an L.
Being how this is the absolutely worst HW era in recorded history, I can see how a guy with 1 fight would be hyped up.

The reason Ngannou got hyped up is mostly because of how abnormal the whole situation was with him coming into boxing at that level right off the bat. It should never have been allowed to happen and hopefully this kind of ****** **** is never allowed to happen again.

Eh, I dunno about that. Whyte is quite literally an MMA fighter (well more kickboxer but he did both) turned boxer himself and neither him or Del Boy can crack like Joshua.

Holy, right now, would end him.
On to the next hype job
NSB needs to lose it's mind over something so worthless.
