What the Hell Happened To T-Bud Crawford

At this rate he’ll fight only once this year

that’ll be an average of one fight per year in the last 5 years

silence following the greatest victory and performance in his career

He's already forgotten about. The sport will be fine without him.

You usually be so far off base it ain't funny but in this case, real talk.

A stay busy fight never hurts.

In his defense, he got jerked around by Spence and his rematch clause. Believe that agreement just expired a little while ago.

There aren't many great opponents though. Folks are either significantly bigger than him (Canelo), are damaged goods (Jermell), or are smaller than him (Shakur, Tank, Haney). .

If Tszyu looks great against Thurman, that could be a great fight to make.

He relied too much on Youtubers noisily drumming up the Canelo fight. This is what happens when you watch too much Youtube as if it's reality.

Now he'll be feeling the pressure again to do something.

That Mell vs Bud fight woulda had a lot of hype if Mell didnt go after the big check or at a minimum tried to beat Canelo & just came up short.

I agree Bud vs Tszyu is the best realistic option Bud has right now that makes sense. I think Bud vs Boots would be a fun ass fight (at 147 or 154) but there is no money in it.

If Haney or Teo just had a lil more drawing ability & a fight at 147 to have some proof of concept they can win at that weight those fights might make sense at a future date but not currently. I dont see Tank or Shakur venturing to 147 anytime soon & Shakur & Bud are cool beyond that issue so imo 0% chance those are makeable fights.

              1. He has no promoter
              2. He doesn't have a track record of being a massive PPV draw/ticket seller
              3. He looks absolutely unbeatable following the Spence KO.
You can't fight very often if no one wants to fight you.

No problem for bud as people don't put much pressure on bud to fight. Buds no nelo.

Spence suddenly went blind after their fight, so Bud's chilling until another big name, big money fight becomes available.

Not like nobody is calling him out. He could probably have a fight vs Ennis, or even that idiot Teo. Suspect Stanionis or Ortiz would take a fight also. Ditto Tszyu, but he dragged his feet.
