I'm not sure I would be shocked considering we see AJ get hit and rocked in a few of his fights. Though, I'd hope he can at least deliver some of his own power to see if Ngannou can stand up to it.
So if AJ is considered the third finest at HW, by default would Ruiz have to as well?
No, your placement depends on your resume and performance. Based on what we've seen, Ruiz might as well just have gotten lucky. He didn't have the temperament to keep the belt and got schooled in the rematch, then got knocked down by Chris Arreola, and barely squeezed by 42 year old Ortiz who had already lost by KO to Wilder twice. Then he priced himself out of every fight he was offered, and hasn't been the ring in a year and a half with nothing scheduled. Does that honestly sound like a guy who is top 3 and deserves to be above Zhang, Hrgovic, Parker, or Dubois and Kabayel who have been in the ring getting good wins. He's going to be remembered as a one hit wonder who faded into obscurity.

Ruiz beat Joshua once but he avenged that loss and Ruiz has been mostly MIA since then. You have to be consistent to be considered one of the top heavyweights. Ruiz might as well be retired. He's fought twice since 2019 against AJ.
AJs only really got hurt when he's reckless and looking for a finish.
One thing we did learn about Ngannou though, is he's looking for a counter to take advantage of those moments.
If AJ boxes behind his jab and he's patient, should be easy work. The question is, will he at some point get greedy and look for more, because that's the only chance Ngannou has.
Apparently Tim Bradley is picking Ngannou to win...
I start second guessing myself any time I find myself agreeing with him.
That being said, Ngannou winning actually would be brilliant for the sport, IMO. He's got one of the best underdog stories ever, great villains in Dana White and Fury, and the fact that boxing is seen as a better money maker than MMA, because of the Ali Act and all the influencers. His example and success in boxing could revitalize the Western world, in which most of the best athletes go into other sports, like basketball, football, or the aforementioned MMA. Just beating AJ, even once, would make a brilliant Rocky movie for the upcoming generations. And just as Rocky Balboa inspired a boxing reinvigoration, so too would the legacy of an Ngannou victory.

Joshua needs to fight him again it's one one and it should be in America not running off to Saudi like the rematch when it should have took place in the champions country where he quit.
Should not get a pass for this and pretend the first fight didn't happen.
Getting a third fight with usyk is also laughable.
Tyson fury stomped wilder into dust twice and robbed the first time away from home in the US.
