What a shame it's a closed shop to anyone other than rich casuals, celebraties & TV. These shows will never have any atmosphere as long as the bleache's & bars stay closed. They actually remind me of old time BBBofC black tie do's at the National Sporting Club, Cafe Royal & Anglo American Sporting Club! "Gentlemen you may smoke"!!....

Abdulla doesn't know diddly squat about boxing! Which has a historical beginnings in America even before basketball, football, or baseball.
If boxing isn't mainstream then why is it that Saudi Arabia is so interested in getting into the business of boxing?Comment

No matter how much oil money the Saudi’s pour into boxing, they will never be able to white-wash their history of human rights violations and their treating of women as second class citizens.
The Saudi’s lack of atmosphere at their boxing events will never raise to the level of excitement in New York or Las Vegas. The atmosphere there can be compared to a class outing at the museum.
Mike, get what you can before the Cabbage Patch Doll euphoria goes away and the Saudi’s finally figure out that they’re competing against themselves.
There may be people who perpetually cry the western countries past but that doesn't mean their human rights violations and second class treatment of women disappeared.
However it is all but forgotten by pretty much everyone but failures who're looking for people to point fingers at others forgetting they're three fingers pointing back at you.Last edited by Boro; 03-05-2024, 01:39 PM.Comment

Imo, I don’t think foreign governments should be allowed or encouraged to own land in America. That noted, I do think a Tyson backed gym would be great.
You need gyms that teach different styles to young boxers.
Would be great if American amateurs can train at say a Tyson gym for offense and a Floyd gym for defense/countering.
Also good to be around Mike to learn from him how to avoid the pitfalls of success.
Would help us regain our position in boxing.

The pics I saw had it looking like a boxing museum more than a gym with all the plaques of great boxers on the wall. I like how Saudi is treating boxing tho.
Almost everything they do is how it should be done you could argue. I saw TR released a top 10 boxing ads of all time & the Fury vs Ngannou, Fury vs Usyk & AJ vs Ngannou ads all woulda been top 3 easy on that list if TR had included them.Comment
